Even though Ismene didn’t help out with the crime she still wanted to risk her life for Antigone, but she wouldn’t let her because she didn’t do the work. Antigone wants to die for the right reason, that she did something right for someone else. But since Ismene didn’t do any of the crime she didn’t want her to die because she did something wrong. Antigone wanted Ismene to live and she descried to live she didn’t do anything wrong. I think Ismene changed her mid because Antigone is her sister and you always stand up for family.

Section 3 Summaries Chapter 24) Minny worries that her friend Aibileen will get in trouble for faking the recommendation to Miss Celia so that she could get a job. Miss Celia does not care though, she values and supports Minny tremendously and would never fire her because of Hilly. In this chapter it is clear that Leroy is physically abusing Minny again, she is however too ashamed to tell anyone about it or ask for help. Celia notices that cuts and offers to call the police but Minny tells her not to worry about it because she doesn’t want anyone to know about it. She tries to hide her pain from Celia and Aibileen so that they do not worry about her.
In Year of Wonders Anna Frith is presented as “too good to be true”, she may be seen as a courageous and honorable character, but Anna, like everyone, has her flaws and is thus a believable and realistic character. Anna fears risks of situations, experiences jealousy and desire, turns to the wrong solution for her grief, and questions her faith throughout the novel. Anna acts bravely and risks her life in unfamiliar situations though she still fears the risks. This is demonstrated when Anna helps birth Mary Daniel’s baby as the Gowdies are gone and Randall Daniel had no one to turn to so he went to Mrs. Mompellion. Mrs Mompellion had never conceived a child herself so it was up to Anna as she had the most experience out of the two.
Janie’s Self Identity Self Identity is who you are to yourself. Self-Identity is important because you need to know who you are and it gives you internal peace. When people can’t find their own identity they start to try and blend in with others. At first Janie couldn’t find her own identity and was not at peace with herself. Janie had problems finding her own identity, bad marriages, unworthy friends, and very jealous townspeople caused her difficulties.
She did not want Lennie to hurt her, but Lennie is very unpredictable. The trouble had found her. Even without any other females around and having the life before Curley can leave someone feeling lost. Along with being lonely, Curley’s wife has an unfulfilled dream. Granted she had the chance to make that dream true, her mother would not allow it.
In Arthur Miller's The Crucible Abigail William's traumatic childhood has turned her into a vindictive person who's need for self-preservation has driven her to value nothing but her own life. Horrid incidents such as the grisly one Abigail sustained can have such a tremendous impact on a child's perspective and personality. The lack of attention and love Abigail received during her childhood has furthermore induced her to act very brutally towards people in order to fulfill her urges and needs. Cassie has been trying to locate her, but had no luck. She also goes around with a lot of men; she really puts herself out there in the wrong ways. Aunt Cassie faces a huge challenge, when she is trying to let go of her past, let go MIA (her daughter), to move on. She tried to find MIA but didn’t succeed, so she finally just let her go. She did it for herself, not only because it is good for her well-being, might she have another baby on the way (as hints were thrown in the book).
It made her have a difficult time trusting people because she had no one to rely on but herself. It was a tough time for Hester, wearing the scarlet letter “A” resembled adultery, which Hester was not proud of therefore she, strived to become a better person and change the scarlet letter meaning. Hester showed the town that she could do well and she was indeed trying to change her ways. Her daughter Pearl made this even more important; it meant a lot to Hester that she set a good example for Pearl. Hester deeply loved Pearl and did not want to lose Pearl’s respect.
