The War of 1812 Dasha Everse Many people died in the war of 1812 because Britain and France were interfering with American trade and the Americans feared losing their land. However, if the countries involved had discussed their fears peacefully, they could have avoided needless death. In a world ruled by peace and love, everyone will be accepted as a unique individual. However in war and hatred, people are not free to be themselves. In the War of 1812, the Americans were not free to be themselves because the British and French were trying to take their land. If peace and love were taken to mind, the Americans, British, and French maybe could have made an alliance with each other and it wouldn’t have ended in unnecessary death. A world that is full of peace is motivated by unconditional love and abundance or a belief that there IS enough for everybody. A world full of war and violence is motivated by fear and people thinking that there aren’t enough necessities to sustain a happy life and therefore they take from others. The British and the French thought that having more land would mean you are more powerful then everybody else.…show more content…

The War of 1812 was a brutal war, but oddly enough, it brought some lasting benefits to British North America. There was a new sense of pride among the people, a pride in having defended their lands with courage and skill. After reading about this horrible and imbalanced conflict, do you think the War of 1812 was absolutely necessary? I believe that peace and love can solve tribulations far more effectively then war and hate can. With a peace of mind and an open heart, we can overcome obstacles that get in our way. Yes! We can solve our conflicts without killing one
