WHY IS LAW ENFORCEMNT IMPORTANT? Law enforcement is one of the most important things, especially in today’s society. First of all, today it is becoming easier and easier for an individual to purchase a gun. Not to mention they can even do it online, or even in person with a fake id or a fake certificate. These people go out in the street with these guns and they harm people, even with law enforcement. Could you even begin to imagine how bad this world would be without our police officers? Second of all, law enforcement also has to do with putting the bad people in jail. Nationwide, law enforcement made about 12,196,959 arrests in 2012 alone. A large percentage of these arrests were for rape, drugs, and murder. In other words, if it weren’t for law enforcement these people would still be on the streets. There would also be even more rapes and murders because these people will know they won’t get caught. Last but not least, the president. The leader of our nation. He is the most guarded person in the entire country. Without law enforcement I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t be alive. Why? Because he would be killed. Law enforcement prevents this from happening. To summarize, law enforcement is the reason the United States of America is so advanced and not a developing country like most others.
