Government On December 14, 2012, a man named Adam Lanza fatally shot twenty helpless six to seven year olds and seven adults in Newtown, Connecticut. Even before the shooting he managed to shoot his mother at home. Lives were changed drastically on this tragic day. How would you feel if you send your child off to school one day and realize later that that was the last time you would ever see them? These poor parents are wondering why on earth would someone want to shoot defenseless children? My life has changed till that day, I feel so bad for the families behind all these children and adults. If I were put in the same situation where I sent my child off to school, and later realized that I will never be picking them up, I would be heartbroken. The teachers are heroes for risking their lives to help save as many children as possible. This is one of the main reasons why I believe that in the 2nd amendment “the right to bear arms” needs to hold back on the right to have weapons because of all the crazy people we have in this world.
