The focus of training tends to be on the staff group delivering the services, to ensure that all recommendations and standards are achieved. p.d.p is important for my career, increases my employability, and helps me progress and gain promotion within my work place. Communication P1: There are many different types of communication like sign language, braille, body language, verbal speech and even facial expressions. Effective communication is a conversation in which the exact meaning of something is understood by the other person. An effective conversation can mean a conversation where something is achieved, or where two people both enjoy the conversation and learn something. Effective communication in the health and social care setting is very important because it allows the care worker to perform their role effectively. This allows them to work alongside their colleagues and lets them build good relationships with the service users even if they are from different backgrounds.

From a management point of view CPD is central to improving a service, it is a way of ensuring best practice is adhered to and all practice is up to date and relevant. It is also essential for people management, from a managers point of view if you offer individuals opportunities to develop, not only will their practice improve but they are likely to stay within the organisation as they are given the opportunity to develop, the individual will feel like there has been some investment into them. Another aspect where management will benefit fit from offering CPD opportunities as it is a good way of recruiting members of staff. In my experience it has always been a key reason why I have taken a post when further development has been offered. CPD is relevant to the whole work force, it gives any member of staff an opportunity to develop and progress to the level they desire to get to and can very often make individuals push themselves that bit further.

This process helps increase the staff member’s potential through different educational and training opportunities. There are many strategies and activities that are carried out within the workplace to help improve staff development. These strategies are things such as reflective practice and training days. It is crucial that staff continue to develop their practice so that they are able to see how far they have come, what they have achieved and what they need to improve on.
Individual can become self sufficient and positive and they may also learn how to cope with stress, with the help of a human service profession. The Human Service worker provide productive manner to those for those who are in need of comfort and help in overcoming difficult barriers that occur in their everyday lives. A person that is providing these special services do not realize what a role the play in an individual life , when a person in need feel that that sense of love , security they are more porn to open up and let their guard down and accept help without difficulties.
