Why discipline is important? Discipline is the most useful quality. It means to act in an orderly manner. Discipline involves obedience. Discipline leads to success. The duty of the school is to teach what students need to know not discipline to their students, because discipline is something u learn at home and something u teach your self. U should obey the rules and regulation of the school. U should obey the direction of your teachers and u shouldn’t make a class disruption because your taking away time for another student to learn. Discipline is the key-note of all success. Discipline also means training of mind and character, developing self-control and the habit of obedience. Discipline could be divided into two categories, external and internal. External discipline is that which is imposed by outside authority. Internal discipline is when u have self control and u value your self enough to distinguish right from wrong. Our ancient educational system believed in enforcing discipline by force. They used to say, if you spare the rod you will spoil the child. But to avoid these negative results u have to have self-discipline. It is discipline by acceptance, not by imposition. One of the main characteristics of self-discipline is the ability to forgo instant and immediate gratification and pleasure, in favor of some greater gain or more satisfying results, even if this requires effort and time. Self discipline gives you the power to stick to your decisions and follow them through, without changing your mind, and is therefore one of the important requirements for achieving goals. The possession of self discipline enables you to choose, and then persevere with actions, thoughts and behavior, which lead to improvement and success. It also gives you the power and inner strength to overcome addictions, procrastination and laziness and to follow through whatever you
