1. Explain the purpose of the following types of assessment in learning and development • Initial Assessment • Formative Assessment • Summative Assessment Formative Assessment Initial assessment provides the information needed to plan an individual’s learning and improve their chances of learning effectively. Without it, there are only assumptions. It’s always possible to make some predictions about learners from an application form or selection test, but it’s an insecure basis for planning. Learners themselves bring assumptions about learning based on the past, and some of these may get in the way of looking ahead to a new way of learning.
Belonging is an intrinsic human desire that motivates individuals to actively pursue it. Unfortunately barriers exist that make the attainment of belonging seemingly impossible to certain individuals. The challenge is to accept these obstacles, forge through them and strengthen your sense of belonging beyond its original state. Belonging is an innate part of the human psyche and we are all impacted either positively or negatively reflective of whether or not we belong. The relationships we share with those around us can either hinder or support this emotional state.
The first reason is because a lot of people want a job that will pay very good money. By going to college, you will have the hands-on learning education you need to start your chosen career. This is a huge reason why a lot of careers require you to have at least a two or four year degree. Another reason why college matters is because it helps students boost their confidence level out in the real world. There are countless things that people have to do every single day in life so going college will help give you a better idea of what the definition of life really is.
Modalities are used by altering the language to suit personality and client individuality. Using the correct or dominant modality for clients at the beginning of an induction means that the experience will be enhanced as the sub conscious will be more responsive to the internal representations. Without the use of modalities, clients will have to listen to language imagery that they feel less comfortable with and therefore may feel on edge which may make the hypnosis process less
An Uncontrollable Shift As one advances in life, there will always be a slight, if not a complete turnaround, of a person’s identity within themselves. Whether from a spontaneous revelation, or a lifelong pursuit, the reshaping of one’s identity is a key point in a person’s life that can bring about drastic change in one’s everyday life, either socially or personally. In the texts of Paulo Freire and Richard Rodriguez, it is evident that identity is an abstract thing; a thing that can be influenced, shaped, and eventually concreted at a certain point of realization. It is under this “abstract” definition of identity that the reader can better understand what it really means to truly change what it is means to live. It is not a question of if a given person will experience a reshaping of identity; rather, it is a mere question of when and how it will occur.
Similar to the ideal of our Nation, to increase education and accessibility to all, for our country is better when more people get degrees as our company is. To have any real sustainability as a company, education is a primary factor in the success, not just for the elite few, but also for the masses. The introduction of increased benefits in the tuition reimbursement program will send a significant message of respect and caring to employees. The application of the program will show benefits daily. What better to invest in
My fears for the course are that I discover some things about myself that I may not like but I suppose it is all about self discovery as well. English is my second language, but after being in America for so long, I have learned to adapt to the American language, as well as learning how to adapt to the American culture. Being surrounded by only English-speaking people, I began to speak English, and only English in my daily life . As time passes, I gradually forget my first language, Chinese. I began to suffer from the loss of the Chinese language, and the consequences that it brings. By losing the language, I stopped celebrating most of the holidays and events that I’ve celebrated in the past when I was only speaking Chinese.
The degree program I found at Ashworth was perfect, and the affordable tuition was the pivotal choice for my final decision. Third, this degree will be upgrading me to a better job position and a better life. I have experience in my field of work but not enough to advance and
This system, along with an intrinsic motivation to do well, has always encouraged me to do my best in school and do whatever I could to learn more and keep my grades high, resulting in me being a better student, learning more study skills, and getting higher grades than I might have otherwise. I have noticed, however, that the conditioning was more effective before college. Now that I am living away from my parents and do not know many of my professors personally, I do not have the immediate day-to-day rewards or punishments. The effects persisted strongly in my first few months of college, but then slowly declined. I still work hard and get good grades, but there is less of a motivation to study constantly and I often find myself not using my free time as efficiently as I would have at home.
