In the article “Fear of Heights: Teachers, Parents, and Students are Wary of Achievement.” Author Bob Chase, who is president of the National Education Association pointed that teachers and parents should more worried about the students who involved in many extracurricular activities after school. He called these students are the “C” students. We know in all of the school teachers like the “A” students because they concentrate in class, serious write notes and review, all of the test result are also very good. Instead, the “C” students very busy every day. Since they into the class, they don't stop talking, send messages and also have a lot of function in school clubs.
Over the years though, the revulsion dies away everywhere and people show love for one another. I believe that, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, should be taught in school. Many people are against Mark Twain’s famous book. People say that the use of the N-word offends them and that it makes them feel inferior to others. This book may make individuals feel as if they are lower than those around them, but instead of looking at the negativity in the book one should learn to look at the positive matters in it.
Children have a tendency to recommend a laundry list of rules.”(Dunbar, 2004) In my teaching career, this is not a move I would recommend. I have taught at some tough schools in Miami-Dade County. More experienced teachers with classroom management skills, showed me their technique and it worked, but educators should always available to adapt to new surroundings. My consequences are all harsh and not mild they are effective, but I would like to establish newer rules.”Milder punishments are often as effective as more intense forms and do not arouse as much negative emotion. Misbehavior is less likely to recur if a student makes a commitment to avoid the action and to engage in more desirable alternative behaviors.”(Kizlik, 2012).
If a student has good test grades and isn't just dozing of in class then maybe that teacher shouldn't require them to, or grade them on their notes. It's a very simple solution that wouldn't have any negative effects as long as it was handled properly. JUST STOP MAKING ME TAKE NOTES! I don't mean to seem rude or disrespectful to my teachers, but it really would mean a lot to me if those who do make me take notes would at least consider what I'm saying. And to help them do that I plan on giving them a copy of this speech along with my ongoing protest by accepting F's on participation grades due to my lack of note taking.
As well did I when I first read Gatto's piece against school. But after reanalyzing this article I was able to pick it apart. By going to school you are able to learn and improve the skills you need for future commissions. But Gatto refuses to believe in the public school educational system. Gatto says that school diminishes creativity; if anything kids discover their hidden creativeness in class while at school.
Their perspective on how the underachieved educational system is, alongside my encounters with complex of schooling. In high school, we are given many standards every day that we must meet in order to be considered successful, but the reality is; these standards are fruitless in expectation for colleges and universities. In high school I did not get the English composition skills, to prepare me for my college courses. They are right about their belief that the professors in the universities are very inspired in some ways to give their standards to the students in depth knowledge to set higher standards, however, it is not good to know that some high school students still enter Americas elite schools through remedial process, because it might agitate the worldwide standards set by the school
A DISCUSSION DO RESIDENTIAL SCHOOLS HELP A CERTAIN PEOPLE PROGRESS IN A CERTAIN COUNTRY OR DO RESIDENTIAL SCHOOLS HINDER THEIR PROGRESS? I believe in a simple rule - Things r best in their original form and alterations to the natural forms are not usually good although exceptions do exist. Talking about residential schools, I will be honest in saying I have never really liked the idea. The residential schools rather kill a person’s originality and curb the natural talent developed through free thought and spirit. Having been schooled in a day school, I felt a balance of exposure to family and school life.
The thesis of Mary Sherry’s essay is that teachers and parents need to take further action to help their students earn their diplomas. The main points Sherry expresses in her essay are that students barely have any motivation to focus in school, how students are not satisfied with their academic skills, and ways that teachers can get their students to study. First, Sherry mentions in the essay, “…but, as I rediscover each time I walk into the classroom, before a teacher can expect students to concentrate, he has to get their attention, no matter what distractions may be at hand” (Sherry 515). Asia Rue English 4 Lesson 13 April 24, 2011 Why I attend Charter school I attended Sweetwater Union High School before enrolling into the Charter School of San Diego. I believe attending this school was the right choice to make to help me, academically. When I was going to Sweetwater, I had low grades, no motivation, and I did not enjoy school for its educational reasons. I was more focused on my social life and friends rather than what was being taught in class. I can also be easily distracted and being in a classroom with thirty of my peers, gave me the freedom to interact with my friends rather than focus on my work.
