My short term goals are to complete my bachelors in child development. By having my bachelor degree it is putting me in position for me to opening up my own childcare center. Working with children in my community I feel I will shed a new light on children in the community. You can always go to other neighborhood and, work with children but, I feel staying in a place where the need is so necessary will really help people that are in need of affordable services. Basically keeping quality child care in my center is something I do not see in child care centers today.
The University of La Verne’s core values have been present in my life throughout the years. Even though my mother wanted to attend college as I did, she didn’t have the option to so and that’s why she encourages me to try my hardest in school. When my mother was young, she dreamed of attending college in the United States and getting a job so she could support her family, whereas when I was small, I didn’t think school was important. Although my mother only attended elementary school, school was one of her top priorities because she felt like it was an honor to go to school, and if you went to school, you were considered to be lucky. My mother was an over-achiever and saw education as a way of showing that she was better than most.
Without those papers I would be lost trying to recall what happened. Going through my papers I found I wasn’t very good at reading. At least that’s what I thought at first. I was reading my teachers comments and they all basically stated that I needed to concentrate and I would be fine. The first paper I came across was the results of a pre-reading composite test from kindergarten.
Jenny Graves: I love being able to help the younger generations learn and to guide them to be the very best they can be in life. After all they are our future and without us to guide them then the future does not look too promising. Cynthia Moore: What made you choose a career in early childhood education? Jenny Graves: The lack of dedication among the teacher’s I had growing up. To them it was just another job and I wanted more for those learning.
This meaning my parents income affected how I would pay for school. I am now an independent students. When I recently decided to go back to school I qualified for financial aid which is funded by Pell Grant. I also decided to take out a federal school loan. Taking out a loan for school was a big decision for me, because I do not want to be in debt.
I knew college wasn't a place for me. My grammar and punctuation was bad, and math was also, a poor subject for me too. I struggled a lot just to finish high school, I managed to make it through high school. I had to take it one day at a time. Sometimes, I didn't want to go to school because I knew I was going
Returning to School Delphry Williams ENG 121 Stephanie Freese September 30, 2013 Returning to School I made the decision to return to school to further my education about young children, and children with special needs and to earn my Early Childhood Education Administration degree. The benefits that I will be obtaining from my college degree will be receiving better pay and to be in a better position to open my own childcare program one day. In the year of two thousand five I worked at a childcare center for the mentally ill. I worked there for almost twenty years before the owner decided to sale to another owner. The old owners were offering the people that were there the longest a bonus for each year that they had been there
One of the reasons I have had to postpone going back to school was that I wanted to be with my kids as much as possible. They all are in school now, and I have more time to devote to studying and doing homework. One of my personal short-term goals is that I want my three kids to see me graduating from college. When I graduated from nursing school, I only had my first daughter Arlette who was only a baby. I have all three of them with me now, and they are old enough to understand how important going to school is.
I explained that I haven’t decided what I want yet. Before I enroll into school; I want to make sure I make the right decision. The counselor said that there are free career tests online, but here’s one that had helped some students here at Fresno City College to
With homeschooling, the parents are the ones teaching their children, so they know their progress, strengths and weaknesses. Bittner explains that there are numerous problems with testing and that teachers actually have a problem with it. There is such a frantic need to teach children everything that will be on a standardized test that learning is almost disregarded. If any material isn’t on the main test then it is not taught. The author point out that critical thinking is not on a test so it is overlooked by routine memorization.
