I think going to college will be a big step and major accomplishment in my life because it marks the start of a new beginning. College is going to teach me life skills that are needed to purse in my career and my future as an educator. Unlike high school, college teaches and helps strengthen skills in order to survive the college life and the world itself. College is the main teacher for skills such as time management, discipline, responsibility, etc. I think college will help me to not depend on others, but to rely on myself.
Is College Worth it? Everyone in the United States wants to achieve the “American Dream”. People want to be able to provide a stable life for their families. A college education has been a must to grow in the work industry. But during this economic recession, college students have been having a difficult time staying in the college path, especially working class students.

I tried a few classes here and there and it was something that seemed to be a temporary thing to occupy time. I was young and didn’t realize what college was going to mean to my adulthood challenges. After finally accepting a full time job that could lead to a career for some time it became clear that college would have been a good choice for me to have been successful. I quickly began to attend college classes through my employer to make gains in my career and try to possibly secure my future.
Obtain my degree would allow me to achieve my goals in life. My degree is a stepping stone in my life it would allow me to become a teacher within the school district and not only preschool. It also shows my job that I’m serious about it; it allows me to receive pay raises and promotions within the company but we all know that without an education that goal is farfetched. Core vs. flexible hrs As reviewing some of your files I also discovered that one of your founding principles is to have core workforce. I believe that a mixture of core and flexible workforce is essential in the retail industry. By having a core workforce your are eliminating potential good candidates from applying to your positions. People who go to college usually look for flexible employment which lets them work and go to school; with these kind of employees you have potential college graduates who can decide to stay and grow with your company.

There are many reasons obtaining a college education is important including gaining a sense of self-fulfillment, acquiring an increase in salary, and allowing myself to be a better role model for my children. In today’s market technology is constantly changing and companies are hiring people with college degrees to make a difference within organizations. For me returning to school was something that I had to do. The way the economy is right now, the only way to get a decent paying job is to further your education. The money was also a big one. Good paying salary is something that was important me.
Being the first person in my family to get a college degree makes me feel so good. Setting example for children and letting them see that mommy can do it is priceless. The things that we do in life as far as school wise are thing we can take us to the next level is just a lot of us lose hope we are not sure where to go. I though getting a high school diploma was fine for me. I felt school was not for me because I have dyslexic and, I feel people just don’t want to help me.
In order to obtain my degree in social work, there are some immediate changes that I’ll need to institute in my life. The first and foremost change that will have to be made is making enough time in my schedule to complete my schoolwork and maintain an “A” average throughout. I don’t feel that it’s enough to just get a degree no matter what grade you graduate with. It is important to my self-esteem that I graduate with honors and to know that I did my best. I am not going back to college just to get that illusive degree.
Why people should go to collage? People have very different reasons on why going to college and getting an education is important for them. Some people go to college because that is what is expected of them, and others go because they have nothing else better to do. However, I am interested in going to college and obtaining a good education because it will benefit my family, my country, and me. My parents have this perfect life for me pictured in their heads, and the first thing they see me doing is going to college.
