Having financial problems played a factor also in my returning to school. Being a single parent, with no support, I knew that I had to make some drastic changes. I have to joggle so many tasks each day and it can be hard. My family motivates me not to give up on my academic goals because I know it is something I have to do. Additionally, having a better income to support me and my family would be nice.
One of the main reasons I have chosen to ho back t school is my family and their well-being. I feel like if I go to school and get an education then I can take care of them the way I need to take care of them. I feel like going back to school will have many good advantages as well as some disadvantages . Some good things is that I will be furthering my education and in the world we live in it’s almost required. Another advantage is that many more job opportunities will come and I will have a better selection then I do now.
So if attending college is what I have to do in order to be stress free that’s fine. “If you want a good job you have to go to school” are like the words of the year. Because well paying jobs only want the best of the best. But I’ve never wanted my reason of going to school to only be solely for a job, but for myself. Of course I want to learn for a job but to also be able to learn how the world works around me.
I have been thinking of it as me having no money. That has limited me in solutions because the root problem was not correctly defined. This has impacted me by limiting my efforts of forming a solution. With spending time in school in my mind I seem to have tricked myself into not understanding why I do not have in money or source of income. In the military I was paid for schooling and having spent the past ten years in the service I just automatically assume that I should have money.

Because of this and the lack of financial stability, I now work full time in order to pay tuition. If I was not able to get a job due to the economy, I would not be able to attend college, graduate and then have a well-paying job. Because of the cost of education, parents who live in poverty are not able to provide their children with a quality education and when these children grow up and choose not to work and strive for a better education or a better way of living, they will likely remain in poverty. Should Students Get Paid at School? Would you like to get paid at school? The idea of students getting paid at school is very important to think about. My personal opinion is that students should get paid at school because it gives the student a real world experience. I think students should get paid at school because students will learn to be independent.
There are various reasons as to why I would like to attain an education. It is not easy in my region, being a single mother and living on a basic salary. The aim of obtaining a better job and being able to be promoted are just a few reasons why I am passionate about excelling in the academic arena. As long as I can achieve this, then I will be more than able to earn a higher income, thus landing me in a better position to support myself and my children. There is much personal satisfaction to gain from earning a college degree.
Most things do not happen the way we expected and, I did not start college a year after high school. Instead I was married with a baby on the way. I still wanted to return to school but, did not know how I could. I was not sure if I could afford it or, with the baby on the way, that I would have time. Once I had my son, I had to start work to afford all the things a baby requires.
