Abortion Many scary situations could happen to a friend or even yourself. Young teens and older people should be taught what an abortion really is. Many teens do not know what an abortion is or how it is done and what it leads to. Many women and couples have a decision to make and they should make the smart one and not the wrong choice. They should be able to know what it is and be informed on what they are going to do there are more choices than just to get an abortion.
She might end up resenting the child and blaming the baby for everything. If someone isn’t ready to have kids, whether they’re too young or not financially stable, abortion should be available to them as an option until they’re prepared for kids or can offer they’re child a better future. Reasons against: Abortion has many benefits to it, but like many controversial topics abortion has its detractors. Many of its detractors say that through abortion you’re taking the life of an innocent child. Another reason against abortion is the long term effect it will cause a woman.
Should Abortion be Illegal? Should abortion be illegal? This is a very controversial subject in today's society. Women believe there are many reasons to abort such as fear of having or rasing a child, rape, or not having enough money. But whatever the situation, there is never an acceptable reason to get an abortion.
From a religious standpoint they believe that when the fetus arrives it is a person. Most believe when the nervous system is made, because it can feel pain like an abortion. However this stage does not happen until the 6th or 7th month and abortion never occurs after the 24th week. Abortion is necessary because of the potential of existing circumstances that would be a detriment to the mother or fetus. The mother could be physically, mentally, or emotionally unwell and not capable of being pregnant or having a child without endangering her health; the pregnancy could have possibly been the result of a terrible crime, such as rape or incest; the fetus could be unhealthy and be a danger to the mother's health.
Pregnant women face many barriers when trying to get help for their substance abuse problems. Many pregnant women seek out help through the community and treatment programs but find they are mainly male centered and do not cater to their personal needs. Other barriers they face are the fear of criminal prosecution and the fear of losing their current children to child protective services. Maternal substance abuse continues to be a growing problem today. Educating more mothers on the consequences of abusing substances while pregnant will help reduce the number of children affected by this significant problem.
Is Adoption Better Than Abortion: There are many similarities that link both abortion and adoption however there are also very many differences which separate them, either reasons which concern the mentality of the mother after the two processes and the physical differences made to their life. The first, most obvious similarity; is that they are giving up their baby, another being that you are not forced into unplanned parenthood. This however, also links into not being forced into hastily made relationships or even marriages with the father of the child. This being a fantastic reason which favours the two options as does the prevention of teenage girls losing their youth to being forced into a position that may hinder the whole of their later life. One of the main differences between adoption and abortion is that abortion ends a life in order to end a pregnancy whereas adoption requires the giving up of the young or new born baby.
Forcing a woman to carry the child of a rapist simply because one believes that abortion is wrong would be infringing in on the rights of the mother. It could be considered wrong when individuals have careless sex and utilize abortions as birth control, especially when there are hundreds of birth control choices out there already (Pushaw, 2008). There is another way that this could be viewed; there are women that just don't think they can handle being a single mom. The reality here is that there is a choice to be made before a person finds them in this type of situation. The vast majority of Americans, including those who favor a right to choose during the early stages of pregnancy, support laws that prohibit partial-birth
Unplanned pregnancies constitute to the mother feeling more depressed as she now is expecting something she never intended to happen. Often, unplanned pregnancies may cause aspects like premature delivery and other complications, which bring more worry from a mother’s point of view. Unwanted pregnancies can often have a long term affect on mothers simply because the mother now has to look after a baby when she did intend to or expect to do so. Therefore, such a factor is regarded as high-risk when associated with Post-Natal Depression. In terms of the hormonal changes when giving birth, many hormones change in the body, thus triggering a greater chance of the mother suffering from Post-natal depression.
There are many reasons why teenagers should give their babies up for adoption. If babies are left with teenage mothers, there is a chance that they will be neglected and won’t have a very stable life. If the parent chooses to look after the child, they might not be able to afford it and they might have to drop out of school. Raising a baby is very time consuming and this makes it difficult for the parent to work. Whereas, if the child is adopted the mother can work, get an education and spend time with friends.
There are many other options for women that are not ready to be mothers. Having your baby aborted is not the answer; it is just the easiest way to deal with your problem. When women are asked, they have three typical responses they give for justifying their reason for an abortion. Some say that having a baby would interfere with work, school, or other responsibilities. Others say they cannot afford a child, and then some say that they do not want to be a single parent or are having problems with their husband or partner.
