Why is Anatomy and Physiology so important in your success in a health care field? It important because you learn the structures associated with the human body, function of each of these structures and all allied health careers is the relationship between the health care provider and his or her patients. Anatomy is the study of the structures associated with the human body. (living organism) Anatomy deals with the description of form, arrangement and function of the bone, joint, muscles and internal organs, together with their blood and nerve supply. The human body is often thought of as a complicated machine. It is important to remember that organs system don’t just exist as individual units. Each system depends on the other, either directly or indirectly. It is not easy to learn all 206 bones and over 600 muscles. Physiology is the function of living systems. Physiology is important because it is the foundation upon which we build our knowledge of what “life” is, how to treat disease, and how to cope with stresses imposed upon our bodies by new environments. However, when studying Physiology, you will be looking at the functions of cells and organs within their biological systems, rather than their structures. For example, during this course, you might take a look at how the heart performs its particular function. The relationship between the healthcare provider and his or her patients would be lot stronger cause the healthcare provider know her Anatomy and Physiology, she will able to help them understand better what going on with their body and what is the cause of it.
