Shakespeare says in his play twelfth knight, “Some are born great, some achieve greatness and greatness is thrust upon some.” From these wise words we understand that our world isn’t short of famous people. However, we only know many of them only by their names, some of them we learn of through their great deeds and achievements and a few of them because they are our contemporaries. However, we cannot truly say we know them all very well; in fact, we really are ignorant of very many details of their background and how and what they really are like persons. Similarly, all of us, without exception, in our world have heard something about Jesus Christ, that he lived during the middle ages, in the mid-east, some two-thousand years ago, and he was living among the Jewish people. Yet, there are many, even today, who are totally ignorant about, or utterly confused about who Jesus Christ really was or is. According to some, Jesus Christ was a harmless and a good person; still a few say that Jesus was nothing more than a prophet. Still, there are others who steadfastly hold the view that Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of God or God himself and should be worshipped. According to the Bible and, specially, according to the four Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, Jesus Christ is the promised messiah, whose prime duty is to redeem humans from their original sin. However, the very important message that John reveals is that Jesus Christ was the original source or fountain for the beginning of everything. Jesus Christ was the first of all creations and every other things came from him. According to John, Christ was in the beginning “The Word” and he was with God. “In the beginning the Word was, and the Word was a God. This one was in the beginning with God. (John 1:1) And what is
