Not all people have the opportunity to take a vacation. The ones who are able to take vacations prefer to leave town and leave their worries behind. When we go on vacation, we have to decide the best destination according to suits our interests. The purpose of this essay is to contrast the difference between vacationing at a beach or in a city. We will look at the kinds of activities, the clothing required, and the pace of life offered between vacationing on a beach or in the city. The first major difference between vacationing a beach or city are the desires for the multiple types of activities. On the beach, for example, you can go sailing, fishing, surfing, skiing, or take advantage of the sun and lie in the sand to work on your tan. Swimming with dolphins or feeding sharks are also possibilities in some places. On the other hand, in a city you can visit different sites such as museums, theaters, important buildings, experience downtown life, and other social activities. A city vacation would require more planning and organization to find all the destinations. A beach vacation requires much less. Another difference between vacationing on the beach or city is the clothing and equipment you need to take. If you decide to go to the beach, you will need to take a bathing suit, shorts, short-sleeve shirts, sandals, sunglasses, goggles, and sun block. Considering a city vacation, where there is a large amount of walking, you will need comfortable and casual clothing such as jeans and tennis shoes. You will also have to take dress clothes or formal attire in case you want to go, for example, to a play or concert. The final difference between vacationing on the beach versus a city is the pace of life. If you want a relaxing time, your option will be the beach.
