Throughout time, many necessary, yet tough decisions have had to be made. Everyday people have to make decisions, such as what should I wear, what should I have for lunch, what movie should I see, and others such as those. However, many people have had to make decisions that can alter their lives or even alter that of other people’s. They have had to decide whether to do what is right, what they want to do, or even what they are obligated to do. This year, our class has gone through and learned about many people that needed to make hard decisions.
The Decision Making Process: How Critical and Creative Thinking Play a Role Decision making is one of the most complicated tasks to be completed; however, for many of us the ability to make a decision clearly and effectively comes naturally. We merely do not like to make the effort and put the time into analyzing and reaching the most desirable outcome. Learning to utilize critical and creative thought processes would eliminate some of the obstacles we run into while making a decision or solving a problem. With learning to think critically and creatively, one is learning to analyze, evaluate, conceptualize, apply, and synthesize the information placed before them and find the most reliable decision or answer. The Decision We all face and make difficult decisions in our life.
I must find what interests me so that I can pick a major and know what I want to do in life. There are hundreds of different colleges to choose from so I must choose where to go and research what I need to do in order to get into that college. My SAT scores must be very good in order to get into college so I must study hard for this test. College is very expensive so I must plan and help my parents plan how to financially support the costs of college. I must stay focus when I go away to college and keep my priorities straight.
Suggestions for Improving My Study Skills The three specific studying tips and suggestions I chose and are in dire need of my improvement are: 1. improve my time management skills and prioritize my work (what are the most important items to complete and what can wait)? Plan out a study schedule and follow it. Protect the time of the day I should study best (do not accept phone calls, E-mails, or any other distractions during this time). 2. When I’m in class, I need to ask questions, make comments, and participate.

Stages in Problem Solving Decision making is a part of almost everybody's everyday life. No matter how small or mundane the decision to be made, there is an underlying cognitive process and many influences that affect both how the decision is made, and what the decision is. It is these influences that affect how the decision is made in which this paper is interested; specifically, what influences the decision making process. There are several options to explore, including a person's rationality, the influence of long term memory, and a person's emotions. In this paper I will discuss the stages of problem solving and decision making and as well my experiences.
That particular activity help me a lot in discovering where I am at, and which steps I have to overcome before I reach my target. After I did my goal's paper I have now a clear picture of how hard i need to study and work in order to complete them all. Another technique I learned in order to achieve my goal's is to plan my time wisely, I am doing that by using a calendar to write everything out. It gets me to know exactly what I have planned next day, during the week, after school, or on weekends. Managing my time, setting up my goals , and also planning out and completing my daily activities will definitly facilitate attain my academic desire.
I think long and hard and weigh the pros and cons before I come to a conclusion, because my outcome will not only affect me, but everyone around me also. It is my personal responsibility to do the best that I can to obtain my degree. It is also my personal responsibility to turn in all my assignments, study for tests, and put in the correct amount of time and participation each week in order to pass the course. My preliminary plan to practice personal responsibility in my education includes, time management, self-discipline, and adopting good study skills.
