As a result of European settlement, many populations of Native Americans were brought to near extinction. The hunger for a new and free word had blinded Europeans’ humanity towards the Native Americans that had lived in these lands for hundreds of years from the Atlantic to the Pacific in harmony and respect of their lands. The discovery of gold was of the most important factors that promoted violence against the Native Americans. When gold was discovered in California in 1848 it initiated a large amount of migrant traffic across the North American continent. This large influx of Americans brought more diseases to the Native Americans that devastated their tribes with great number of deaths.

This led to chaos every time a leader died. All leaders became dictators, and almost all were killed by their guards. The Roman Empire had 26 leaders in the next 50 years. A leader had to pay his army well to keep them happy so that they would fend off invasions. This led to high taxes and inflation.
We come to a point in the novel in which one is quick to blame the corrupt coyotes, as they are the ones that are demanding thousands of dollars to help these immigrants cross the border and most of the time these immigrants were being left to dry and die as they took all their money. Although most of the time these coyotes are just helpless Mexicans that are looking for some money in hopes to take home to their families. The border patrol is responsible for protecting the border and arresting any trespassers. Others would also claim them to be the bad guys, they are also the ones that save these immigrants who find themselves helplessly wondering in the excruciating heat. All in all, the book demonstrates that there is no initial “bad guy,” instead the situation itself is the problem.
The American West In the west there were two, newly set up towns. These consist of cow towns, such as Abilene and mining towns, such as Helena. These towns suffered many problems, some of which were. In mining towns there was claim jumping and in both towns there were robberies, violence, gangs, racism and lack of facilities. In cow towns, the worst problems came when the cowboys came back from the cattle drives as they had been away from civilization for a long periods of time and as a result of this, when they returned, they went to the saloons, with money earned from numerous jobs they had accomplished and it would often lead to a lot of trouble.
Tsarina Alexandra was influenced by Gregori Rasputin, an unpopular and scruffy “holy” man, who was supposedly controlling her son’s haemophilia condition. Nicholas’s decisions at the Eastern Front caused the country's military failures; by 1917 over 1,300,000 men had been killed in battle, 4,200,000 wounded and 2,417,000 had been captured by the enemy. 1 Some estimates claim 20,000 human sacrifices a year. The loss of human life would not only weaken the Aztec empire but brought hatred upon the people of the powerful city of Tlaxcala. Many of their own people had been sacrificed, and at the end, the people of Tlaxcala joined forces with the Spanish army to fight the Aztecs. 2 Aztec authority, Henry Nicholson said that among the Aztecs, “human sacrifice was practiced on a scale not even approached by any other ritual system in the history of the world”. Spanish sources report that over 80,000 victims were sacrificed at the dedication of the Great Temple in 1487.
American moviegoers watched in horror as the Japanese overran the construction site, destroyed the fuel tanks being built and killed many civilians as well as the Seamen who were protecting them. Showing this true to history act of violence by the enemy demonized them no other movie could. Since the main goal of the movie was recruitment, Hollywood had a hard time showing why men who were making large sums of money (up to $600 a month), should enlist in the Navy and reduce their income ( the average recruit earned $34 a month) by such a great amount. One scene in the movie is attributed with recruiting more Seabees than all other recruitment campaigns of the war effort("Seabee historical foundation," 2011) . The scene
This is very important because food is one of the most important and basic things people want, and lots of revolutions broke out because of famine. Moreover, the war had separated families, since many men were conscripted, and families often lived in fear, knowing that husbands or fathers might be dead. Moreover, in autumn, 50 percent of the enterprises closed down in important industrial centers, leading to mass unemployment, while the wost of living increased severely. Real wages of the workers were about half of what they had been in 1913, and Russia's national debt was 50 billion rubles. Russia thus faced bankruptcy.

The strikes affected the railways, so food could not be delivered to the towns and cities., the peasants started revolting by stealing land from their landowners. Eventually national minorities engaged in widespread protests.
