In JROTC you have to say this creed. If you can learn that creed and remember what it says, it’s another thing that will help. I know the whole creed by heart, but there’s this one sentence that has stuck with me more than any other line in the whole creed. It says, “I do not lie, cheat or steal. I will always be accountable for my actions and deeds”.
This style of leadership would be bet suited to new team members and also to existing team members that need close and continual management they require a great deal of supervision and guidance to enable us to meet SLA’s and KPI’s Although this style can be seen by some as a heavy handed, almost as a military approach to leadership, it is necessary. The individual is not placed under any pressure to get things right from the outset. They will hopefully understand that they require additional support and guidance, while they are learning a new role and are able to begin to develop a relationship with the other team members. It teaches that that we have to respect people that have authority over us. Although, I don’t think a lot of things were right that happened in the book. Yeah, you should respect people that have authority over you, but the people that do shouldn’t take power of that. No one should ever get beat up because they were listening to someone, or they shouldn’t get bullied cause of it either. The teachers also should have stepped in when they saw the fight happening and not just stood there.
After retiring from the military, I decided to pursue my education so I could open more doors for career opportunities. Being this is my first educational experience, it is my personal responsibility to adopt good study skills, maintain time management, and not procrastinate in doing my assignments. As a student, you must understand that without adopting these attributes, you will increase the risk of not succeeding in your class. In taking personal responsibility, a person needs to make mature decisions that will benefit their outcome Informal Outline: Taking Personal Responsibility Academically I. Introduction II.
I had to overcome many challenges and face personal obstacles. The first thing I had to overcome was the feeling of not wanting to attend karate class. I felt intimidated that I did not know anyone at the karate school and feared that I might embarrass myself. Once I overcame that obstacle, I then had to deal with the great pressure of being one of the more advanced students in the class. This was a great deal for me because a lot of the students that were underneath me, looked up to me as their role model even though I was still learning to be a great karate student myself.
I was faithful to my duties and obligations, and I never abused the power of my position, nor slacked off at any point in time. There is a quote we often heard, “Our country is not the only thing to which we owe our allegiance. It is also owed to justice and to humanity. Patriotism consists not in waving the flag, but in striving that our country shall be righteous as well as strong,” James Bryce. We were all taught that if we strive for what we seek, we eventually will succeed.
In both stories, he explains how both body and mind are used to accomplish numerous tasks effectively. He argues about the hidden area of learning that blue-collar workers have to go through such as multi-tasking, memorization and problem solving. Though I concede that experience is a key factor when trying to learn something new, I insist that a formal education is important. I believe Rose missed a great point when considering which side to take in his essay, sure the jobs he mentioned require some mind activity but I see it as taking the easy way out and not going to school. EXERCISE 1 I applied for this course because I felt I was stuck in a rut and needed a change, I am also approaching a landmark age and felt that this was a good time to make that change. I am very nervous about starting the course but also excited. I hope to meet some new friends and also to broaden my horizons. My expectations of the course are that I hope it helps me with my self confidence and to be a better person in myself. My fears for the course are that I discover some things about myself that I may not like but I suppose it is all about self discovery as well.
Being that this is a customer service duty, providing quick and skilled service in a professional way is a main factor. Being pleasant, respectful, and active is a good way to represent myself and God. Because I would only treat someone the way I would want to be treated. By giving them my upmost respect and undivided attention. Something that I have always been taught growing up.
This experience motivated me to avoid that sort of work in the future. I began studying hard at school, something I had never done before. Trying to be the best was important to me, so I decided to
