A teacher with high expectations for his or herself will ultimately pass that quality on to their students. Caring comes naturally for great teachers. When a teacher genuinely cares for the students entrusted to them, they are able to reach them with greater ease. Great teachers make their classroom a place where caring is the norm. In a climate of care, students are more inclined to take up for each other, protect each other, and teach others how to care.
And with good teachers come good students with good grades. And finally I said a principle, I say that because you want a responsible principal to make sure the teachers are educating the students the right way and handling all the school problems and to keep students safe. 1.1. Explain why effective communication is important in developing positive relationships with children, young people and adults. Communication is important in developing relationships with children and young people because having positive relationships with the people we interact with makes our daily lives easier and more productive. In an educational environment maintaining positive relationships opens up opportunities for good communication, it gives us confidence in our ability and an understanding of our environment. Accepting shared responsibility by knowing what our role is and what’s expected of us is very important, following recognised procedure and understanding shared values all promote good relationships.
The teacher provided physical and mental safety from insult and diminishment. Mike Rose emphasized that a good environment actually would help students do better, “And there was safety to take risks, to push beyond what you can comfortably do at the present, ‘coaxing out thinking along,’ as one of Steve Gilbert’s student put it, bringing out our best interpretive abilities” (46). These democratic classrooms also showed the amazing respect of people toward another, especially toward students of different ethnicities. They respected each other’s background, their languages, and history. They helped one another study and made them feel comfortable.
Along with positives for the students, there are positives for the teacher’s also. Teachers have a framework for understanding what students have learned or should have learned before arriving in the classroom (Gardner and Powell, 2013). The focus on skill doesn’t mean teachers should abandon the content but rather it also offers a clear framework of what skills the student should be able to do instead of what they should know (content). When they have this positive relationship, they are less likely to be unnecessarily competitive but they work together as a team sharing ideas and using the same principles across the school. Parents are the most constant adult in a child’s life. They are likely to give the best support if they are able to communicate effectively with the school. They are able to help
By basing knowledge on how children develop and learn, it can help make more developmentally appropriate activities. The children would learn more, and you would be more successful as a teacher. *Appreciate and support the bond between the child and family. The pre-service educator thinks if someone who encourages learning along with required truths is known as an ideal educator. Additionally, there are more than a few facets needed of a teacher like imagination, inspiration, and eagerness; one needs these facets to survive as an educator. Indeed, as a continuing occupation this has been a high request for every person in the education line of work. On the other hand, recognizing that the students are the future, they are worth the facets of education. By being familiar with the philosophies of education has helped the pre-service identify with and the ones that correlates with the per-service principles are behaviorism, essentialism, and progressivism.
They like to inform the parents of things going on at the center, and in the government that concern the center. Having relationships with the families is important and they have very close ties with them. The philosophy the center runs by is the idea that a child’s education is one of the most important, if not the most important, aspects of his or her life. With this in mind, teachers are very influential characters. Therefore it is essential that teachers develop their educational philosophy and their educational goals before making the big step from being a student to being a teacher.
