What is happiness?
Happiness is basically the state of being happy; it’s what brings joy, pleasure and good fortune to certain people within a culture. That’s why you have to ask yourself, what is happiness in different cultures? Happiness is something everyone wants to have. You may be successful and have a lot of money, but without happiness it will be meaningless. Not all cultures are the same, for example most Americans find happiness in wealth; society tells them that to be happy you have to be wealthy, so you can buy things beyond your dreams. In other culture having lots of kids and wives bring happiness to them, so much that it’s in their religion, others find happiness just by being one with nature. Happiness has the same definition within all culture but each culture has their own taste. In the American culture, happiness can be rated because everyone always rate and comment what they like, what they don’t like, and how the fix would make them even happier. I think it can be measure by looking at their form, for example their facial expression. Different cultures show happiness through many forms, for example, most African Americans show assess by wearing brand names and flashy things. In this research paper I’m going to write about happiness in randomly selected cultures, Well at lease the most popular ones.
