The ultimate pleasure in life is when one has the freedom in all aspects of life. Centuries ago, our founding fathers started a government that promised freedom to those who seek it. Yeah... it's true that it has been a very bumpy road to become the America as we know it and to have a black president. When people migrate to America, they bring their culture with them and it takes them a while to become fully Americanized. But what is being an American? Is it only to have the freedom to express yourself? The answer is clearly no. Along with every rose, comes it's thorns. Along with our freedom comes many negative things also. When I first came to America, I had no clue what I was going to face. When I first landed in JFK I could sense I entered a very cold society. A society that runs by the rule of dog eat dog. I fell in a depression for the first couple of months as I kept getting to know this culture. Coming from my region, I encountered the first homeless person here in the United States and it was truly a heartbreaking scene. I can never forget the moment when I gave the old homeless man ten dollars and my brother saw me do that. He came to me and said "Don't you ever do that again. These people do not deserve this because they will go buy drugs with it." I stood there looking at him and wondered is this the same brother I knew that once lived with us under the same roof ? Why is he so cold-hearted. Ever since, every corner I looked and saw a homeless person would have wiped the smile of my face and made me sad. My first ever bus ride was also here in the United States. I was excited to use the public transportation system to get around. But as soon as I entered the bus, I saw people fighting one another and some talking to themselves in a loud manner. For a second I thought this bus was not going to stop until it reached the mental ward. All this put together,
