What is a Hero? When I think of a hero, I automatically think of a tall, intelligent, and handsome young man. In reality there is more to being a hero than huge biceps and an attractive face. A hero is a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities. Despite the general consensus, a hero is any person from all races, ages, and sizes that has heroic qualities or has performed a heroic act. A hero is someone that exemplifies special qualities or characteristics such as bravery, humbleness, and honesty. Being brave is one of the many outstanding characteristics of a hero. Bravery is exhibiting courage or courageous endurance. I think that bravery is the will to do something that you are afraid to do. Whether it be riding a bike for the first time or speaking in front of a large group of people. Leaders that show the characteristic of being brave fight for what they believe in, even if it results in their death. Completing a task that is unfamiliar or scary is what makes am amazing hero. Humbleness is one of the many qualities and characteristics of a hero. Humility or humbleness is having a feeling of insignificance, inferiority, or subservience. A great humbled hero is also someone that is always ready to accept other people’s advice and learn from their mistakes. In my opinion, heroes that show strong traits of humility are quick to admit to the mistakes that they have made. A hero will avoid attracting the attention of others. A humbled hero may save a drowning toddler and walk away expecting no rewards or applause. To me, a hero is not arrogant. I feel as though the most important quality of a hero with a great sense of humility is consideration for other people’s feeling and emotions. A hero will not hurt a person’s feelings, and if they do they will try and make it up to me in a genuine way. When I think of a
