What I Have Learned in History 2

I thank God for all the things that he gave me. Though it is not unlikely to be in a History 2 class, I feel so blessed because History 2 under Miss Leny for the first and last time was so worthwhile. I learned so much, even things and concepts out of our topic. It makes me feel so happy to realize how comforting it is to appreciate what you have in life and what God have given to you. Sometimes, it’s better not to crave for the better, ‘cause it’s a lot better when you consider what you have as the best. I know there are things in life which we know are not really meant for us. Or, there are also things in life which we must think: it’ll soon be ours, on the right time. Whatever it is, I know, this journey of Miss Leny is not a failure, nor a mistake. It is because, through her outstanding efforts, in teaching and instilling in us all about Asia, and most of all, about certain fundamentals in life, it made us become who we are right now, as her students. Inevitably, I can’t lie, when I say I’m not fond of History. But if I say so that Miss Leny brought an entire change in my life, particularly in my History-perspectives-and-stereotypes, I won’t deny that also. In other words, before, I was not an avid fan of History but it was through my friendly and approachable teacher that I was able to realize and appreciate all the things that I should be proud of as an Asian. I think this 3-page paper won’t be enough to enlist all the learnings I had during the entire semester. But I hope you would allow me to name a few things. Firstly, I learned to be a true blood Asian – both mind and soul. I realized how unique and magnificent Asia is, as the world’s largest continent and the melting pot of almost all kinds of religion and culture/practices that have ever existed.
