Respond to the following in 50 to 100 words each: Describe one academic goal that you have created using the SMART criteria. How do SMART criteria contribute to your academic goals? * * The one academic goal that I have is to pass my classes. By using the SMART criteria it allows me to become organized which helps keep me focus and ready. With the 5 steps of SMART I can maintain a positive attitude as well as give myself enough time for studying and doing other things. * * Describe one professional/career goal you have created using the SMART criteria and Career Plan Building Activities results. How did the results of the Career Interest Profiler and Career Plan Building Activity on Competencies contribute to your professional goal development? * * By using the SMART criteria I was able to focus on one career that will help with my Long Term Goal. The Career Plan Building activity just help show me that I was on the right path. Competencies contributed by showing me what I needed to work on if I’m going to achieve my Long Term Goal. * * * Describe the stress and time-management strategies you have learned this week that will help you achieve your goals. * * I do believe that one of the stress strategies I have learned that I have already been adapting to my own life already is “Finding a Job that I love.” Most stress comes from jobs that people hate going to, if I find a job/career that I love, it won’t feel like work and I’ll enjoy it which gives me less stress. As for time-management “Writing things down” seems to be the best one for me.
