Going Green Is the Way to Be How many times do you wash your clothes at night or throw plastic bottles in the trash when you can just take a few more steps to throw the bottle in the recycle bin? In the world today fossil fuels are a main cause of carbon dioxide in the air. In the recent years more and more people and large businesses have been going green. What is going green? You might ask. Going green is not making big changes to change your way of life, but it is making small changes to save energy and finding ways to not burn fossil fuels. Having people change these little things, the three R’s, reduce, reuse and recycle can make a huge change in the world today. Reduce is one of the easiest ways to go green, because there are so many little things you can do to save energy. Some of the ways are, wash clothes with cold water, and wash them at night; this saves energy. Also the reason this saves energy because it isn’t the prime time when everybody is using energy. Make sure that when leaving a room to turn off the lights, when brushing your teeth don’t leave the water running, when showering- make it short and cooler. Also when you go grocery shopping, you can buy canvas bags instead of using all plastic bags. When you are cleaning your house use green cleaning products; the green products don’t have all the extra chemicals. When you reduce these little things you can conserve a lot of energy. Just by turning off your water when brushing your teeth you save more than 200 gallons of water a month. Going green is just about remembering the little things and you could be changing the bigger problems in the world (ourearth). Reuse is the second R and it just as important as reduce. Reuse is when you find products that are made from recycled items. Now when you go to use paper towels and print papers look for the label on the product that says,
