By posing many questions to the murderers, Macbeth is helping to persuade them. A question can substitute for a request, and while a listener is searching for an answer, the speakers can give his own answer to the question. The listener (the murderers) is more likely to accept it than if it were given as an assertion. Lastly, most of Macbeth’s questions also have suggestions in
How Social Media Affect Us Introduction The social media is a way to communicate with your friends, to write and upload pictures, and it’s also a way to find out about many information and news that are going on around the world. However, how does the social media help spread information around the world and how does social media affect the people who use it? This research paper focuses on the impact and effects that the social media has on people. The impacts and effects that social media has on people are news and other information are spread faster and sooner on the social networks than other places and people are more time on the computer because of social media instead of doing homework or doing a sport or even exercising. I chose the topic of the social media for many reasons.

I have now added more of my own ideas to the essay, making it more persuasive. I believe the essay flows more smoothly now that I have connected the dots. Core Value II: Understand that writing is shaped by audience, purpose, and context. Having an audience was an essential factor in each of our essays. It is important that we state who our audience is within the introduction.

It would be hard to explain why young members of our society have become more addicted to the use of this particular device (cell phone); perhaps we can attribute this to the differences in which they spend their leisure time compared to older members of our society. Older people may prefer to spend several hours watching T.V., while younger people will devote an equal amount of time talking on the cell phone, which might lead us to the answer of why divorce rates are higher on young couples. In recent years, 62 percent of marriages ended in divorce, most of those divorced being under 25. Is it possible that technology has something to do with
Fast Food Epidemic: America has become the most obese nation in the world. Nearly 100 million Americans have become either overweight or obese. That is more than 60 percent of all U.S. adults. Since the 1980s, the total of over weight Americans has doubled (Spurlock, 2004). Obesity is now only second to smoking that is a major cause of preventable death in Americans which causes more than 400,000 deaths per year.
Obesity can cause all types of health problems such as diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, high blood pressure, strokes, and certain kinds of cancer. Obesity has been on the increase over the last past ten that the years. “ In fact, data from the CDC indicate that the U.S. obesity average was 12% in 1990 and had grown to 23% by 2005.” (Menifield, Doty, Fletcher, 2008 p.1) Obesity cost America so much money and it is one of the most nastiest problems beside drugs. There was a poll done about 2 months ago of CBS that stated that a large percentage of people say that they eat out at least 5 days of the week and sometimes all 7 days at a fast food restaurants or they eat prepackaged foods. This means that they have little time to work out to burn off the fatty foods that they consume on a daily basis.
Before I decided to go through with this experience, I collected the amount of hours I was on my phone, and sadly, it was basically for at least 20 minutes each hour, between the time I woke up, untill the time I fell asleep. Studies show that teens spend more than 7 1/2 hours on their phone and has increased an hour and twenty minutes since 1999. Heavy time users, consuming more than 16 hours a day, usually have fair or poor grades. I remember going outside and running to my friends houses to see if they're there when I was younger to go out and play, but now all you have to do is push a button and you'll know. Technology is a really over-powering thing and a growing epidemic and I feel that it's really taking a tole on young people but at the same time advancing the communication between us.
