Viva Case Study Kai Woods Name Tutor Course College Date Occupational therapy analyzes the relation existing between parents and their children and how their occupation influences the social life. Basing the explanation on viva case study, Kai woods, we analyze the procedures involved, how the issue was intervened and an evaluation on the whole process. The therapy conducted on Kai woods, a three year old at the children health centre evidenced that he was not medicated. The main challenge in Kai’s life is the fact that he does not take in variety of food. He does not take in many vegetables and fruits which are necessary for body health. The soft foods and drinks are not part of his nice diet. Out of this unbalanced diet he was recommended to visit a pediatrician who would analysis his nutrition. Based on social affairs, I expect him to visit a pathologist again in order to improve on his speech. According to the test conducted by Dr. Mary Lewis, the specialist, the advice to give you as the mother is to encourage and uphold child’s development. The pre-school teacher examined him through a questionnaire which helped in gathering the right information. The main problem is based on language, the fine motor skills and the factor of playing. The association with the other children was limited hence his quite time of play was hindered. This creates loneliness and as a result causes depression. The fine motor skills are deemed to be poor due to avoidance as in comparison with the other peers. The body weight was normal though it could appear less with time because he had problems with eating a balanced diet. Kai seems to like watching the television more than other activities.
