The dedication put into the construction of the street car is impressive. Several lives were lost due to landslides, and even after suffering these casualties, the building continued. But the street cars and the lake were just the beginning of what became the most popular park in the area. Every year, amusements improved and more people were attracted. It was a hot sunny day in the year of 1998 when my whole family and I went on a trip to a place that was called Bear Mountain State Park. Bear Mountain is located in New York, it along with Harriman State Park combine to cover nearly 52,000 acres of mostly forested landscape with hundreds of miles of trails including the Appalachian Trail, a rich hiking resource close to New York City. They had many activities for families such as biking, boat rentals, hiking, picnics, Ice skating and much more. Bear Mountain is a very beautiful place because of the scenery, the activities, and the entire atmosphere. The variety of trails looping across the rugged landscape, draped upon the Highlands, is a major part of the appeal of Harriman-Bear Mountain State Parks.
Some like the Blue Room night club, Topsiders, and the H. Toads hold live music performed by local bands or well known music artists. Also, many people come down to the lake for the great shopping and the big deals they can get at some of the stores. One of the main shopping stops around the lake is the Osage Village Outlet mall which has 110 stores to choose from. Another great place to stop at around the lake is the Bagnell Dam strip which has many stores, places to eat, and the great view of the lake. After using most of your energy from shopping, it’s time to replenish yourself with some great food from hundreds of restaurants located around the lake.

The Yosemite National Park has 3.5 million tourists every year. According to the readings, tourists prefer to visit during the summer.
Art History 3600 Karen Senne July 13, 2013 A very interesting Wednesday It was the beginning of September, when I had a very unexpected and interesting Wednesday, let’s say one that will be in my memory forever. That Wednesday morning was just another normal morning; I had breakfast and got ready for classes. That morning was a very sunny morning and I was very excited. On Wednesdays I only had class till 4pm, Thus I could go outside and enjoy the rest of that beautiful sunny day. One of my favorite outside activities is hiking, mainly here in the west there are so many amazing places to explore and appreciate the amazing nature.
