The Dance Ensemble returned once more with a fast paced African piece, also executed with such force and feeling to move the audience. The Dance Ensemble certainly enlightened many through the power of rhythm, dance, and movement. Lastly, the world renowned Morgan State University Choir took the stage with the power to move the entire crowd. They performed a few compelling songs entitled “I Know I’ve Been Changed”, “If I Can Help Somebody”, “His Light Still Shines”, “Set Me Free”, and “United We Stand”, all holding strong to the theme of this assembly. The soloists were absolutely wonderful and the choir was perfect on its own.

Fort Jackson, South Carolina August 19, 2010 It is 7:00 am on Thursday morning at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. The sunrise is barely peeking above the line of trees; the traffic is unbearable as one is about to enter Gate 4, Fort Jackson and ones heart is pounding to the beat of a drum. As one waits to enter the gate, anticipation is starting to unfold that in a few hours one is going to be seeing a soldier that was sent off as a young adult 10 weeks prior to today. One is welcomed by a young cadet waving one through and instructing one to go down to Burger King and turn left to Hilton Field for Family Day. Arriving at Hilton Field the sun is about half way through the sunrise and one can sense the heat, enthusiasm, and anxiety is mounting

I was a warm summer night, the smell of corn dogs, cotton candy, and funnel cakes filled the air. That’s right its rodeo time in East Texas. It was my time to shine, the rodeo was half over and before the announcer could finish his sentence I was on the arena floor. Yep you guessed it, it’s the annul critter scramble, in case you were wondering what that is, it’s were all the rodeo committee turns all kinds of little animals out and if the kids catch them they can bring the animal home. Guess you didn’t expect the sights to be jam-packed full of tourists! Since the Smokey Mountains have plenty of vacationers, there is an abundance of enjoyable activities. There are many museums such as the Ripley's Believe It Or Not museum and even a few wax museums! You can ride up the mountains in a trolley or a ski lift, which is always fun for people of all ages. Also, riding in ski lifts and trolleys give you a good excuse to get up and down the mountains
On a cold snowy winter night at the O-rena we had a game against Clear Fork. We both came into this game without suffering a loss. This was our first out of conference game which are big games for us in order to get better ranks to compete in the state tournament. I remember this night like it was just yesterday.
