Vacation Spots Ana Carranza ENG 121/English Composition I Prof. Michaela Vargas March 19, 2012 Vacation Spots Everyone is always looking for that great vacation spot where they can take their families and have a great time. Living in Sunny California there are many options to choose from but I think that the two most common places people choose are the beaches and the mountains. Both are very fun and offer a variety of activities but I will let you decide which one you like the best. I will compare the two and you decide which one you would rather take your family on a vacation. First location I would like to describe to you would be the mountains. Up in the mountain area you and your family will enjoy nice warm days in the summer, not to hot, but warm temperatures. While in the beach you will enjoy nice hot weather where you can work on your tan. While in the mountains you and your family get to set up camp and enjoy a nice hike through the mountains and perhaps if you’re quiet enough you might be able to see a deer run by. Even in the beach you can set up camp but you will miss out on the nature and the beautiful animals that will visit you while you enjoy a nice bonfire. And once you are done with admiring nature you might stumble by a nice stream of water that leads into a nice cool pool where you can cool off and enjoy a nice picnic in the outdoors. But if your family enjoys the cold climate and would rather go during the winter you can enjoy snowboarding, skiing, hiking and even tubing. During the winter months the beach is quite empty no one likes to be around the ocean when the water is cold. There are plenty of fun activities to do with your family while in the mountains but if your family is not into nature walks you can go to the beach.
