There are many different types of oils around the world, cooking oils, factory production oil, smelling oils, that are used by different cultures. But the oil that I am focusing on my natural resource project is that of factory production use, Crude oil. Crude oil is pumped in areas such as West Africa, Middle East, America, Asia and Russia from mines and refinery’s. Crude oil is then pumped in to big oil tanker ships and then from their it is sailed all over the world for the uses for different cultures and societies. Crude oil is used in many different ways and products . Everyday uses such as Shampoos, conditioners, deodorants, lotions and household appliances and tools have had crude oil applied to them at some point in their creation. But the mainly known use of crude oil (when refined and separated with a high heat) is that of petroleum also known as fuel and diesel. The fuels and diesels are used for motor such as cars, trucks, planes and ships and we know these means of transportation are very important and even dependable in this era just about all over the world. Without modes of transportation, simple jobs and activities would not be able to be fulfilled. Without cars no means of getting to a to b in a matter of minutes or hours. Without planes no means of travelling from country to country in a quick period of time. Yes people survived without these technologies in the past but our would has grown accustomed and dependent on even the smallest of tasks. But even so there is evidence of crude oil being used by native Indians many hundreds of years ago for things like medicine and the waterproofing of materials such as boats and or canoes. Another issue that crude oil causes is when its more so in it petroleum state. Petroleum or fuel is used everyday by our vehicles and as we all know these fumes are lowly but surely startling to destroy the earth
