This is what happened in Russia in the early 1900’s. This is what happened in Animal Farm by George Orwell. John Emerich Edward Dalberg Acton said it best, “Absolute power corrupts absolutely.” In Animal Farm, the animals, representing Russia’s people, were upset with the management of the farm. They were eating only enough to stay alive, so they finally had a breakthrough and Rebelled against the humans on the farm, representing the Royal Family in Russia. When the pigs came into power they had seven commandments by which all of the animals need to live.
Suddenly all animals rebel their situation and a new period start for animal. After this we see the contest between Napoleon and snowball. Both of them try to become the head of animal farm that’s why their contest start. They abuse animals in that way.First of all animalism is something new for that poor animals. They lived in very harsh conditions and they belive things is gonna change in the farm. Both Napoleon and snowball know that these animals are fool and they seek for the ways how they can use them especially Napoleon.Actually this reality is valid sor all the pigs in farm. They know that ıf they like they can command that poor animals as they wish.Yet Napoleon and snowball is different from other pigs because they are the head so one of them should be the leader no one of them gives up. why on earth they give up instead of commanding and keeping their life as they wish.
They destroyed everything that was used by Mr. Jones to torture them and changed the farm’s name from Manor Farm to Animal Farm. Led by Snowball, together the animals fought fiercely for the “Battle of the Cowshed” which caused the lost of a dog leaving her nine puppies motherless. Napoleon took advantage of the situation by raising and training the nine puppies secretly. His hatred towards Snowball finally showed obviously when he commanded his nine young dogs to chase Snowball away during his speech on the implementation of the windmill. Then, he declared himself as the new leader of the Animal Farm after Snowball had gone.
There is some immediate conflict between two pigs, Napoleon and Snowball. For a while they work together to help liberate the farm, but soon napoleon starts behaving rather oddly doing things like: drinking the milk which the animals had gathered and stealing away bluebell and Jessie’s puppies for himself. He manages to turn all of the other animals on snowball and takes control of the farm himself. He ‘alters’ the seven commandments and by the end you cannot tell the difference between the humans and the animals. The entire book is an allegory for the Russian revolution; he uses small metaphors to symbolize some of the things which happened during the Russian revolution.
The use of the dogs begins the evil use of force, which helps Napoleon maintain power. Later, the dogs do even more immoral things when they are instructed to kill the animals labeled “disloyal.” Stalin, too, had his own special force of “helpers.”Really there are followers loyal to any politician or government leader, but Stalin in particular needed a special police force to eliminate his opponents. This is how Trotsky was killed. Like Stalin using his secret police force to

Analysis: Chapter 7 Idea: Strength of Pig’s “indoctrination”. Hate for Mr. Jones vs. Happy lives. The foundation of the Pig’s indoctrination of the farm animals mainly consists of nurturing the hatred for Mr. Jones and their desire to have a free human farm. In addition, the belief that the pigs have the power to repel the humans makes them as supreme authority figures and Napoleon is almost God-like to some, which makes his words become the animal’s laws without much argument.
At the end all the animals decided on one thing. They were going to have a rebellion, a campaign to get rid of all humans once and for all. Hence the ‘seven commandments ’ was made, all animals were to follow the rules and respect the seven commandments but as the story unfolds, each of these seven commandments will be exploited and the animals, manipulated. And as the story goes on, each animal (character) of animal farm will represent certain people or societies from the past 1917 Russian revolution . Joseph Stalin and Leon Trotsky were both
Stalin the KGB and Emperor Napoleon had the Imperial Guard. Another way Napoleon builds up his power is by Squealer, he is a fantastic speaker and is able to turn any question asked around and use the question to strengthen his cause he use it quite a lot especial around any questions to do with Snowball and his so called going on He also builds his power by repainting the seven commandments to suit his needs when he doesn’t want to get caught especially when the pigs start to create their own upper class when he changes the plans to use the field near the farmhouse for the retired animals he decides to turn it into a Barley field so he can make alcohol for him and the pigs Another way Napoleon consolidates his power is by having children and makes the other animals build the a school house this to me is very smart this means that he is going to be able to brainwash them like Hitler did in his schools in the1930+40’s About the hating of the Jews and that they cannot be trusted it’s the same in animal farm that the other animals cannot be trusted Comment on the differences between Snowball and Napoleon Orwell basis these to characters on Trotsky and Stalin. Snowball is based on Trotsky he wants to spread the word of communism around the world just like Snowball but he wants to do it on a smaller scale than Trotsky he just wants to spread it to farms around England Napoleon on the other hand wants to dominate power like Stalin did
