Moreover, as Britain was one of the major power of the WWI, the effects on both of their men and arms were not recovered from the WWI. This also led Chamberlain hesitant to take part for a large war at this time. Thus, making an appeasement with the Germans was the best solution for them to be recovered and prepared later in the future because rather than fighting a big war against advanced army with unprepared-no men army, they would fight a war with recovered army even if the opponents might grow more. ! Back again to 1919, the Treaty of Versailles made conclusions to the German’s territorial, armed forces, colonies, preparations and indemnity, and the war guilt issues.
The west needed trade partners in the east and they couldn’t trade with communist states. And therefore took action in stopping communism as effectively as they could. If Stalin hadn’t had such a want for communist states which obeyed him and more influence in Europe on top of what he already it wouldn’t have been as likely to be a war. There wouldn’t be a spread of communism and the west wouldn’t of had to take action which led to hostility and the cold war. Especially since the conditions in the cold war countries controlled by communism was atrocious.
In his work, Fleming explained that if the Soviets wanted to attack the united states of America they had done it because they had all the necessary equipment but at that period the nation was more interested in its inner politics than conquering the world. Seeing the Soviet Union as its biggest threat and being afraid of the “Domino” effect, the American government decided to take actions by supporting the rebels in Latin America and countries that were gaining their independence in a hope that these societies will adopt the capitalist ideology. The decisions that the USA made where not always elaborated and in some cases they did more harm than good. Isolating the U.S.S.R from the world politics was
Lastly, If Germany did not attack Belgium, Britain and along and their allies, they would have not been included in the War. If Germany chose to support its own ally, Austria Hungary instead of declaring war with the other empire group involving Russia, then France would have not have attacked Germany. Therefore the scale of the war would have been much smaller. World War 1 Could have been
The goals of the United States were to rebuild a war-devastated region, remove trade barriers, modernize industry, and make Europe prosperous again. The act was named after Secretary George Marshall. The Marshall Aid was so important because it was used to restrict the Soviet “sphere of influence” from expanding as European countries preferred the idea of being rich instead of having to share their wealth with others. Many countries that were unofficially owned by Stalin were more interested in joining the USA with the Marshall Aid, but Stalin managed to “persuade” them to protest against Truman’s methods. Despite this, the Marshall Aid was a success and it bolstered the armies of Europe significantly, which put Stalin in a more vulnerable position.
It could be better for Europe, worse for Slavs or threatening to America. We try to take the past and make it into some sort of future which sometimes we blind ourselves by the obvious facts. Hitler did not want war with America, simply it screwed itself by allying with Japan who he hoped would secure the East and not attack America. This backfired just like his so called "secure" alliance with Italy which sometimes turned into more of a resource hog then a help (excl. Italian help on the Eastern Front).
There were many reasons how the Nazi Soviet Pact played a greater part in causing war in 1939 than the policy of appeasement such as an important factor, which let Hitler invade Poland without having to fight a war on two fronts. Also, after the failure of appeasement, the British had guaranteed polish security. Once Germany invaded, the British would be forced to declare war. The Nazi Soviet Pact can be considered major causes of World War Two, however the policy of appeasement was the most important reason for the war. The Nazi-Soviet pact was responsible for the outbreak of war because France and Britain had decided to finally intervene.
Causes of WW 11 Who, or what was to blame in causing WW 11? The Versailles Treaties have been blamed for fillnig the Germans with bitterness and the desire for revenge. The League of Nations has been for failing to secure general disarmament and collective security. The Great Depression has been mentioned because without it Hitler would never have come to power. While these factors created tension, something more was needed to create the war.
Also, if Germany were still allowed a full army force the Germans could restart another war or attack a country, which is what they want to prevent. The Germans were forbidden to unite with Austria for the same reason as before, about preventing more war. Overall, I think that the ‘War Guilt Clause’ was unfair and having to pay the whole reparations, but I feel that the other parts of the treaty preventing them from communicating with Austria and limiting their army
I believe that Britain and France shouldn’t have given the Sudetenland to Hitler One reason that I believe that Britain and France shouldn’t have given Germany the Sudetenland as that Czechoslovakia had a good army and would have been a good allies to have. With its 2 million trained troops compared to Germanys 2.2 million troops. With the allies having these troops the war could have ended a lot earlier. But since Hitler was given these troops it meant that Germany would become a lot harder and more dangerous. Another reason as why I believe that Germany should have been stopped is that it would just create more havoc just as Winston Churchill said about the Munich conference “we have suffered a total and unmitigated defeat.
