While employees can be trained to suit the organizations needs hiring talent is important for you organization. The vision to involve employees in the decision making process and let them take control of how their own areas requires employees that possess talent to insure the success of the department and organization. It is my recommendation that the hiring activities be an outsourced function.
Motivational Program Proposal PSY 201 June 25, 2013 Facilitator: Jennifer Amond Motivational Program Proposal As an owner of a manufacturing company I noted that the attitude of my employees were not as I expected after taking a climate survey. I noted that the moral of my employee were at an all-time low; I resolved that something had to be done if I wanted productivity level to increase in my department. My people needed a moral boost, and I had to do something fast; the life my company is depending on it. Therefore, I developed a motivation plan to restore the moral of my employees. My motivational proposal plan will be based on intrinsic motivation.
In these situations we will need to think about who else may benefit and why this is important. A new procedure may take you longer; however, it could allow a better service to be given to our internal/external customers, which could result in better working relationships and/or customer loyalty. Responding negatively to a change will influence those around us creating a difficult environment to work in. Outsourcing allows another company to recruit and select employees which givens them total control. Outsourcing alleviates any stress on the current HR department by identifying primary candidates. Due to the current restructure of your HR department it would be best to consider outsourcing at the present moment. This system that is founded on the job analysis has lead to a formal structure job descriptions which is how the pay scale the company uses is put in place. Employees will step up and help the company by doing other duties or help with the duties of new positions so the company can stay competitive in the market. Companies will ask employees to do this if they have had to cut staff or if they are adding certain jobs to the company but do not want to add any more staff. In order for the company to stay competitive with other companies each company will need to have policies in place that will help and maintain what they have already established. By having these policies it will show that the company is willing to be competitive and will do what it takes to recruit and retain employees.
The lay off process can affect a lot that has been established by the CQI. You need certain key members to have that teamwork in a company to ensure that everything is ran smoothly. You want to make sure you keep major department heads there to also make sure that you have someone with the knowledge to keep everything together. Also downsizing will affect the message the CQI is trying to set which is identifying the resources needed to begin an important and involved process of moving your workplace towards excellence. I think that a manager is more familiar with an employee’s performance and work ethic than the HR Team.
What is the primary problem for the company/organization in this case? The primary problem for this company is how they are going to train their employees on diversity, and the expectations they have of their employees. They had to create a Diversity Steering Team to try and help employees have certain perceptions of diversity issues. It seems to be that they are trying to tell employees how they should think instead of trying to mold them into more diversified employees. They also are supporting minority and women-owned businesses which is huge but not happening everywhere, so it may be harder for them to be accepted when supporting minority businesses.
