3: Be able to support individuals to develop new relationships 3.1 describe types of support and information an individual may need in order to extend their social network The individual needs to be supported in knowing the benefits of being part of, and extending their social network. They should understand that they should feel like they 'belong', it can help them with their sense of self-worth and it should give them the feeling of security. The support and information that individuals may need are for example supporting them on their communication skills, how to go about extending their social network, where they should go, who the best person to talk to is, support in any choice
