The disadvantages of frequency modulation are that the components to demodulate are much more expensive and complicated, some modes have higher data spectral efficiency, and there could be some distortion because the sidebands extend to each side infinitely. Phase Modulation Phase modulation is related to frequency modulation except the advantage to phase modulation is that it has less interference from static and the
Ethernet or Token Ring IT 242 Nov 15, 2012 Ethernet or Token Ring For the first scenario of this assignment, I believe that Saguaro Federal should use Ethernet because it is safe and more secure. The reason Ethernet is more secure, is that it deals with the MAC layer of the OSI model. The token ring on the other hand would not be the best choice because everything connects within a star topology type of network connected with hubs. This can cause some problems in the future if one of the components requires maintenance or if it malfunctions. In which this can lead to downtime for the business and its users.
The use of microelectronics has reduced the cost of digital techniques and now makes digital methods feasible and cost-effective such as in the field of human-machine communication by voice. [7] The main differences between analogue and digital electronics are Noise Because of the way information is encoded in
aHow the Length of a Wire Affects its Resistance In this investigation I am going to measure how the length of a wire affects its resistance. However there other factors which affects the resistance of a wire. These are: 1) Cross sectional area- If you decrease the thickness (the cross-sectional area) of a wire you increase it’s resistance because it has a smaller space for the atoms and electrons to collide meaning there is a higher resistance. 2) Temperature- In a metal conductor, its resistance will increase with temperature, because as the current flows through the resistance of the wire heats up. This is because the free electrons collide with the atoms as they pass through the wire.
Horizontal Cable - A type of inside cable designed for horizontal use in non-plenum areas. While horizontal cable must be fire retardant, the National Electrical Code (NEC) specifications are not as demanding as those governing the use of plenum cable or riser cable. Backbone Cable - is the inter-building and intra-building cable connections in structured cabling between entrance facilities, equipment rooms and telecommunications closets. Patch Cords - is an electrical or optical cable used to connect ("patch-in") one electronic or optical device to another for signal routing. Connectors - a pointer or link between two data structures Conduit - a tube or trough for protecting electric wiring Racks - framework, typically with rails, bars, hooks, or pegs, for holding or storing things.
There are distinct advantages to both and their uses depend on the task at hand. Both are still in use today with digital being more prevalent because of large amounts of data that it can easily transmit over great distances. Both of these two communication mediums are not going away anytime soon and each has a place in today’s networking community. Analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversions in telecommunications Analog signal is one that increases or decreases in nature due to the fluctuations of the item being transmitted. This can be compared to the highs and lows of a radio signal in which the analog signal will rise and drop based on the radio signal being transmitted.
It allows more light sensitivity without having a longer shutter speed. In reason for doing this is because a longer shutter speed will let in more light but creates more blur with movement. The ISO can be tricky with correctly exposing. When there is a high ISO it can create more of a grainy effect with the picture. Therefore, adjusting the camera’s ISO setting plays only in one-third of the equation of successfully creating a correct exposure.
However the use of an inert gas makes this type of welding less portable than arc welding which requires no external source of shielding gas. During the welding process, we are observed and analyze the performance of each types of welding in this experiment. Technician start welding process with Metal Active Gas welding (MAG). This welding use 1.2mm copper coated filler wire and mixture of shielded gas contain 80% of argon plus 20% of carbon dioxide. The coating of copper filler wire is to improve arc performance and to protect it from rusty.
Steel is any range of alloys of iron and carbon that contain less than two percent carbon. Typical structural steel is iron whose properties have been optimized for structural purposes by controlling the amounts of carbon and other elements in the metal, usually less than three-tenths of one percent carbon. Although steel will not burn, steel expands and softens when heated which typically leads to steel losing its structural integrity. This means that steel must be properly fireproofed in order to prevent structural failure. Structure fires are not hot enough to melt the steel, but the fire is able to weaken the steel significantly.
Switching over to Ethernet cabling would also be less expensive and more flexible than the existing coaxial cables and they offer more noise resistance. I can run the cables in the ceiling or between the computers so that they do not get stepped on or rolled over by the chairs. I will also need to put in a router or a hub to connect the client
