Pass 7- Outline electronic and non-electronic means of communicating business information In this task I will outline the electronic and non-electronic means of communicating business. Define the terms electronic and non-electronic means of communication Electronic communication is when the information is passed through using electronic devices, such as emails, telephone, radio, and TV. On the other hand, non-electronic communication is when the information is passed to individuals through Featherstone High School uses both of the communication methods; in order meet the needs of students, parents and teachers. FHS uses 4 different types of electronic and non-electronic communication to meet the needs of students, teachers and parents. Electronic communication methods The first electronic method that FHS uses is a Weebly. Weebly is a website that is designed to help students to improve their exam results and teachers use this website to provide online lessons to students. The website has variety of revision materials for each subject. This includes past papers, specific topic lessons and video links. Through weebly FHS communicates to hundreds of students when they are at home or in school. Students can use weebly to improve their exam results or can gain knowledge about certain topic that they do not have any previous knowledge about. Through weebly students can also take extra lessons when they are at home. These lessons are provided by teachers to students in order to improve their knowledge of the certain topics. An example of this is Mr Bradford (head of maths department) provides online lessons to GCSE’S and A level math students so that they can learn certain topics that they are weak at. However, weebly does have some limitations. A limitation of weebly is that it cannot be used without the help of internet access, in other words internet
