3.3 Explain how to support others to promote diversity, equality and inclusion The most important thing to do in order to support others in promoting diversity, equality and inclusion is making them aware of the workplace policies, procedures and codes of practice. These should be in the workplace and readily available so all staff are able to consult them whenever they feel the need to. They also need to be aware of all the legislation that surrounds diversity, equality and inclusion and the consequences of not following these laws. It is important to support others in attending training regarding diversity, equality and inclusion. It is the employer’s responsibility to provide this for their employees. Information and advice should be readily available so the employees feel able to ask questions regarding any concerns they have. By being aware of situations where discrimination may be likely to occur you can then support others in those situations. You can then evaluate these sessions to ensure that none of the diversity, equality and inclusion regulations are breached in future
