Unit 5 Assignment 1: Intercultural Conflict Analysis What I believe the sources of conflict are poor communication, differing values, differing interests, scarce resources, personality clashes, and poor performance. These can ultimately lead to a lot of things depending on the setting. In a work environment, it can lead to someone losing their job. Between individuals, it can lead to a fight or loss of a relationship. If nations are involved, it can lead to imminent war.
However, most of the women who went to the dance halls and other places were of the working and poorer class. So naturally the working and poorer class looked up to the middle and upper class and thought "who are you to try and judge and restrict my leisure time? I work hard and I should be able to play hard too!" (more or
The rhetorical triangle was used when distinguishing between the audience, the issue, and the speaker. In the triangle, the speaker usually found ways to make himself sound credible and trustworthy. The speaker also strived to show their credibility by making an impression on an audience. In order to accomplish this, the speaker must be familiar with his audience and make the appropriate appeals to that audience to get their attention. This was important because without the interest of the audience, the point you were trying to get across was nearly useless.
Aether is communication through movement, trying to send a message and is difficult to define. In the beginning of the piece the dancers use alot of typing hand and finger movement which becomes their motif, creating lots of movement and steps with the motif. They don’t dance in unison in this piece but dance through special relationships and the occasional partner work. Movements were very robotic and sharp flick dynamic in this dance, but some aspects were flowy showing contrast between movements which fit in with the white noise of the music. Towards the end of the dance they hold hands and create different movement that is more human like.
He got to his house and Joel took him up to his room ere they could talk in private. Joel didn’t have much time to talk because it was almost supper but Joel still doesn’t know about the job because they were talking about Samson while they were in his room. At supper they ate in peace but then Joel’s dad started to question him he blew and went on a tangent about the Romans and got kicked out of the house and didn’t complete his mission. Daniel was embarrassed and angry that he had failed so on his way back he ran into a roman while drinking water and Daniel gave the horse water and gave the man the same water so he kicked the bowl out of his hand. That made Daniel furious so he hurled the bowl at the Romans face and dashed away but while he was running he got nicked with a spear and hid in house for a while.
Not the form of growing up that most young men these days go through, but the growing up a man does when he watches friends die. The growing up that is necessary to stay alive during war. Howard Fast’s quote at the beginning of chapter seven states, “And you’ve lost your youth and come to manhood, all in a few hours....Oh, that’s painful. That is indeed” (111). These words best describes the point I’m making about the theme of this book.

The job of manager is available but he is not sure whether to apply as he feels he may upset his colleagues, but he has done the job before when the manager was on holiday, so he knows he can do it. One day his teacher gives him a letter and tells him not to read it until he got home, John was worried because his teacher never told him to read a letter at home before because he does not like John because most of the fights that John gets in are in school. He went home and went straight up to his room, he opened the letter and it said that John has been expelled from his school and that he gets to finish out the week; he went downstairs to tell his mom but when he was downstairs he saw his father lying on the couch and vomiting profusely, right next to him was his
I don’t think he is a good man just because he trying to fix what he did, but the thing is that what has happened, happened and you can’t change that. Yes he is trying fixing it but I wouldn’t call him a good man because of his actions. The actions are what make the people either good people or bad people. In Antigone there are both bad and good people. In Teirsias’s mind he would probably say they were all good people because when they did something wrong they tried to fix it.
An activity done by extrinsic motivation may not be done because a person enjoys it, it’s often done because they want the end outcome. Working out is a great example, the result of looking better is extrinsic motivation, and the working out is not done because they like how they feel when they workout. Amotivation is the lack of motivation or drive to do something (McDavid, Cox, & Amorose, 2012). Amotivation is when someone does like doing something and feels there is no need to do that
