The Cause and Effects of Unemployment in America Larry Lane Jr Composition 2-34 Denna Shehata 10/29/2011 In the past thirty years, there has been a decline in finding employment back in the eighties employment was just starting to get worse. Nevertheless, some thirty years later, jobs have become much harder to obtain. In addition, this is why I choose to write about unemployment, how it has affected me personally, and how it is affecting millions of unemployed Americans. The cause and effects of finding work in the United States has been a hot topic because unemployment has been affecting many Americans. During the eighties and nineties, the United States experienced a lower level in unemployment.
It includes many diseases including coronary heart disease, peripheral vascular disease, stroke, heart attacks, arthrosclerosis, arteriosclerosis, angina pectoris and heart failure (Ruskin, 2009). These diseases are a major cause of death, have a huge impact on society, have many long term effects and the incidence is set to increase due to the aging population and increased rate of obesity within Australia. These factors support the argument that CVD is the major issue facing this society today. CVD is the leading causes of death in Australia. It accounted for around 36% of all deaths in 2004 [ (Statistics, 2006) ].
It will be the sickest people who pay the most, no matter what you do on a user-pays basis. However, Federal Health Minister Peter Dutton continues to reaffirm that as our population ages and Australians need to pay for new technologies and new life-saving drugs, which Australia has a system that will continue to grow and strengthen into the future. There are overall effects, both positive and negative, of the $7 co-payment on the Australian economy and society. Such negative effects on the economy include the fall in share prices for healthcare companies. In the first week since budget night, Primary Health Care share prices fell 6%.
Class Conflict in Australia Marion Smith An example of class conflict in Australia is the Metropolitan Fire Brigade going on strike. United Firefighters Union of Australia is a group of which the MFB members are a part of. The Union are there to ensure that the MFB members are getting sufficient pay and work conditions. Over the past year (2014), during the period of Napthine Government, the state was making cuts of $25 million to their funding and work conditions. This will affect their response times that are normally 7.7 minutes and cutting funding will mean response times will be prolonged which will cost lives, property and high insurance premiums which are things that are crucial to have an efficient and functioning Fire Brigade
There are many reasons for changes in family size over the past 100 years. Family size has been changing in all of the world’s industrial societies. One of the main reasons of changes in family size is that divorce rates have increased dramatically. This can be seen by figures showing that in 1950, there were 40,000 divorces across England and Wales and in 2005 there 153,399 across the same area. The increase in divorce has led to more reconstituted families, singlehood and single parenthood, therefore the family size has generally decreased apart from in cases where reconstituted families have been formed.

Describe the challenges of living in mega cities and evaluate the responses to these challenges. It is evident that developing countries have been hit hard through the globalisation period as their developing economies are under pressure to become internationally competitive which is raising unemployment and destroying their agriculture and manufacturing sectors, in these instances large numbers of the population are internally migrating to capital cities in hope for employment and a better life. In many cases this results in a mega city. A mega city is defined as a area of urban development with a population of over ten million. Mexico City has a population of 19.5 million, with an expectation of it reaching 21.6 million in 2015.
Merit 2 In this task I will be comparing the challenges the activities two businesses, from different economic environments, faced. The two businesses I choose are Barclay’s in the UK and in India Inflation rates within the UK alter a lot, and prices dramatically rise and fall. Whereas India prices have remained about the same, but at a high rate being roughly going from 8.98% to 11.71% in 17 years, although this may seem a huge difference India has always had high inflation rates. Barclays is influences the same way in both countries by inflation rates. Inflation affects how much UK branches have to raise or reduce the amount of pay each employee gets.
