Based on responses in the Discussion Boards, incorporate the feedback that you have received from your instructor and colleagues. Each of us has an incredible path in life. The challenge is to find out as much as we can to understand ourselves and work through all the things that keep us from inner peace. Will we ever really know and have an understanding of what our path is? It is possible. One can move from having no idea, to having a vague grasp (filled with doubts), to becoming a bit surer, to knowing with all your heart. For all of us, the most important thing to learn is to better understand ourselves. Why do I behave a certain way? Why am I thinking like this? Why do I feel this way? Self-awareness and personal insight increases perception and sensitivity towards others. Before we can even begin to talk about understanding people, you must first understand yourself. Start by accepting the fact that people are very complex and different. If we do not understand ourselves, how can we get on well with others? Well, the short answer is that you cannot. Knowing yourself first opens the door to understanding others and then walking through the door leads you down the path to being able to establish good and positive relationships with others. Yes, it is our nature to feel sometimes that we do not understand our self, but we understand others more. Understanding yourself is like finding yourself, and it really is quite simple. Sometimes our struggle for understanding ourselves takes us away from the reality, which is that while we are all uniquely different. We may have similar goals and aspirations.
