Addressing Challenges of Groups and Teams Having and applying a training program in any corporation should be part of their corporate compliance plan. If Tyco would have had corporate guidelines their lack of compliance could have been substantially alleviated. It is the recommendation of Team D for Tyco to have their training program in place for all those who are promoted into, or are currently in, a supervisory or management position. This could be executed in various ways such as mentoring, formal training, and on the job training. We see it imperative and a requirement for there to be training on policies and procedures for each employee in the organization. This should include understanding policies and procedures and disciplinary processes supported by HR and the legal department. This needs to be part of an annual coverage for each employee. I like how your team takes the role as somewhat of a consultant Every manager should have a mandatory supervisory skills training on how to communicate effectively, collaboration, conflict management, how to manage, and how to understand and interpret basic financials/audits such as profit and loss statement. The training program will be put into place on an annual basis which will be mandatory for all management positions. The training will be 2 full days of training consisting of HR policies and regulations in the areas of effective communication, conflict resolution and legal implications of manager and employee actions. Each area will be given between 4-6 hours to thoroughly go through examples, legal details, questions and then a testing period. Each manager will be required to successfully complete a multiple-choice test of 25 questions in each area after the two-day training. A passing score of 80% must be obtained to show proficiency in understanding critical information for their job
