Stephanie Deosarran Friends may come and friends may go. In life everyone will meet many people that say that they are your friends but only a few will turn out to be true friends. A true friend is far and few in between. We all have friends, but everyone wants true friends. Many of these people believe they have a true friend. Will this true friend say you are a true friend? We all have family but most of us rely on friends for advice, comfort, and inspiration. How do I define a true friend? The most important thing to remember about a true friend is that friend is there for you any time; day or night. True friends will put aside their own schedules if you call and ask for their help. In the time of need your true friend will always come through and be there for you when everyone else turns and runs away. True friends will never turn their backs on you no matter what the situation may be. Their ears are open to listen to every detail of the horrible experience that you just had. For example, a breakup or a recent death that just occurred in your family. They will tell you what they think and their own feelings, not sparing your feelings at all. True friends are going to tell you the way it really is. They are going to be completely honest with you, and in return we take what they say to heart. A true friend is more than a good friend. A true friend is going to support you in whatever endeavor you want to venture into. A true friend is going to understand your needs and be by your side regardless of the situation. A true friend will go to extremes for you even if it means putting themselves in jeopardy. A true friend is there to help and they never expect anything in return. Unlike a true friend, a good friend is a friend that is only there for you when it is convenient for them. They expect something in return for all that they do for you. Also a good friend
