Krystal Velez While I realized that my dog Buttons is not a child, I tend to her as if she was my own. I treat her as if she was my second child. I care for her daily needs while training and socializing her properly. My dog Buttons is a small white poodle that I found stranded in the street of my neighborhood while taking my daily walk at night. As I looked at her my goal was to clean her up and call the humane society to pick her up. As I was cleaning her up I realized that she was only a baby not even six months old she was scared and crying. She reminded me of my son and how he cries and shakes when he takes a bath. From that point on I felt remorse and sad. After I took her a bath I gave her some dog food and she didn’t want it. I was so worried that I gave her some chicken breast and she ate it real quick that was a typical behavior of a child wanting something that they shouldn’t have. I was happy that she ate, now let me just say that was the biggest mistake because she ended up going to the bath room all over the house. I stood up all night because her stomach was sour. I didn’t consider the fact that she was in the street so long. A couple of weeks went by and she is fine I take her to her vet for her shots and check-ups. I bathe her once a week I even buy her shirts and dresses with hair ties. I give her daily vitamins and every time I go to the store I buy her toys and snacks. As well as when I go driving I take her with me, she even has a car seat. Though I treat her like a baby I try to train and socialize her as much as possible. I train her everyday not to beg for food I think that is the worst issue I have for her to break out of. Every time she sees someone with a plate she runs and sits right in front of them. It can be spinach and she will want some of it. She loves to bark as well. I try to tell her no real stern and she listens and
