Traditional Learning vs Online Learning

Since humans have existed there has been a need to learn. As time went on learning standards were given to help people learn trades for careers and jobs. These standards became what are considered today as traditional learning. As learning continued to grow and modernize itself, online learning became a new option of learning for adults unable to participate in traditional learning seeking degrees and careers. Which form of learning is better? The answer to this question will vary, depending on the student’s needs and who you ask. I feel the answer lies in the cost, your time management, and your preference of interaction. There are more advantages for a working adult with a family to consider and pursue online learning versus traditional learning because of its convenience the cost may be more expensive than traditional learning but for the convenience it is worth it for me. The cost of online learning is significantly higher than the cost associated with traditional learning. The cost may initially deter some people from seeking a degree online. I feel the high cost is because of the convenience that online learning offers. While traditional learning has a lower cost it does not offer the chance for a student to take classes at different points in the day or night. The schedule is set and you have to find a way to fit in your classes during the offered times. If the classes you need are day time classes and you work during the day there is no way for you to take the classes without quitting your job or trying to find a way to work from home. Once you factor in that option it is far more feasible to do online learning and absorb the extra cost in order to maintain a full time job and have access to work toward a degree.
