One group of people that have different child rearing techniques than those in the United States, would be those of the !Kung people, a small hunter-gatherer tribe in the Kalahari Desert in Namibia, Botswana and in Angola, located in africa.
Africa: The Motherland Since the early years of civilization, Africa has been looked down upon. Little do others know, Africa is the originator of everything that exists today. Africa has framed the way the world works. Many have taken away from Africa without giving credit to where it is due. Working towards inclusion involves striving to remove barriers to children and their families. As a teaching assistant at Byker Primary School i have come into contact with many children who have come to live in the UK from many different countries as well as children from many different backgrounds. We have children from Africa, China, Saudi Arabia and Romania. In order to show that our school treats everyone the same and eliminate discrimination we hold carousel days. Last year the school held an African day.
Family values are traditions of sort. Each generation takes what they learned from their parents, shapes and molds it into what they would like to instill in their own children. Although every family is different we can consider respect, honesty, forgiveness, and responsibility as the core values. I grew up in a very structured house. What we did and how we acted was by the family values code if you will.
