Should minors who commit violent crimes be tried as adults?
The reason why I chose this topic is because some children as young as 13 or 14 are committing violent crimes such as rape, murder, and even armed robbery. Some children are being tried as an adult in some states because of the type of crime that was committed and are given the maximum penalty, while others are receiving a much milder punishment. The audience in this case would be parents who are married with younger children or even with teenagers, single family homes who have children, minors themselves to help them understand how one bad decision could cost you the rest of your life, but at the same time help them to know and understand how the system works, and also parent who chose to adopt. The thesis statement to this topic could be, the controversy that surrounds the United States courtrooms today is whether or not a minor needs to stand trial as an adult committing a serious offense.
Should children of parents who do not allow them to be vaccinated be allowed to attend public school?
Although we all have had our vaccinations, well which I hope we all have, but this is a serious matter that should be handle in order for a child to attended school. Reason for this topic is because vaccinations help fight off many diseases that we as people in general come in contact easily and if we don’t get our vaccinations then depending on the status of your health is could lead you to death if you go untreated. Also some people say that it’s against their religions to have these different types of medicine, so they choose to use natural products of their own for cure.
