Bauerlein believes that digital culture and social media had cut young adults away from history, civic, literature, and fine arts. However, I have the opposite opinion; believe that digital culture actually made young adults smarter in different ways. There are many famous people including Bauerlein himself were having an argument with another group of people on whether digital culture is an advantage or not.
Accidents are caused by multi-tasking, Teens are easily distracted while driving by cell phones, the radio or even something simple as a friend talking to you. Which results in the poor choices in decision making and risky behaviors of youngsters behind the wheel, that will cause them to evaluate risk incorrectly. At the age of 16 years old students don’t have the mind capacity to drive and make responsible decisions. Although some young teenage drivers can drive responsibly and safely the roads will be a lot safer with a higher minimum driving age. Most teens at least 18 years old will have had more opportunities to learn an actually benefit from experience.
Girls feel the need to degrade others, in order for them to come out on top. This is not appropriate although it is becoming more common in today’s world. In Dr. Manny’s article about teen bullying, he states that a majority of bullying is done within the “more popular” group of peers. Shown in research, “bullying levels peaked among teens who fit in the 98th percentile of popularity”. This is believed by Dr. Manny to be because of the lack of power within the lower 2% of popularity.

As time passes by, technology improves in a great number of ways. However, there are cons to the advancement of technology. The internet, in particular, has cons such as the violation of one’s privacy or the usage and intention to fulfill atrocious and immoral goals. It has even reached to an extent that many authoritative figures ask parents to be careful and to monitor what their teenage children are doing online as well as encourage them not to let their children spend too much time on the internet.
Obese individuals might suffer from social insecurities and emotional suffering. Hollywood makes clear the emphasis on looks. Since looks are “very important,” obese people may become the butt of many jokes. Obese children are often ridiculed in school and many times suffer psychological damages. Obese teenagers may be hesitant to socialize with their peers since most people this age are self conscious and will likely make fun of the overweight teenager to make them feel better.
Are your Facebook friends more interesting than those you have in real life? Has high-speed Internet made you impatient with slow-speed children? So, why are so many people procrastinating and cheating? Many students lose out on a good education from causes such as stress, procrastination, depression, poor study skills and easy access to the web. It can also cause students to cheat in academic work which can lead to effects such as suspension, personal struggles, stolen work, lower grades, and lacking a good education. Procrastination and Internet are the main causes of cheating.
