This is the curse of the great people. They are so unique and extraordinary that nobody can be with them. History has proved that the talent, inventions and discoveries of plenty of people have not been appreciated during their lifetime. Like Galileo Gallilei, he found out that the Earth is round and they burned him on the stake. Few centuries later scientist discovered that Galileo was telling the truth, but it was too late for him.
He actually risked his life and tried to triple his IQ, by going through a surgery. He was also cheated and was not told that there wasn’t enough research in that area. The saddest and worst effect was that he will always remember being a brilliant genius but he will never get the chance to be on again. That is just a little bit compared to the other sad things he went through, but that is why I am against him having the
If I Could Live My Life Over… Even though I’m just a sophomore in High School, there is a lot in life I wish I could do over. Like the way I treated people, some things I’ve done, people I trusted and the things I’ve said. Although if I were to redo any of those things, I wouldn’t be the person I am today. Through all my mistakes and lessons learned, I’ve really come to like the person I am today. A lot of people in the world don’t like who they are or what they’ve become for many reasons such as: looks, weight, personality, family, job, etc.
Doctor Richard P. Feynman is a little known scientist to the public, despite his ground-breaking and influential works in physics. Best known for his work on quantum electrodynamics (Weisstein) and the Manhattan Project (Richard Phillips), he is considered one of the most influential scientists in recent history, and is partly responsible for popularizing the sciences to the public. Despite all of his innumerable accolades, he is one of the lesser known scientists of recent history for what he accomplished. Doctor Feynman was born on the 11th of May, 1918 in Manhattan, New York, and was the son of Lucille and Melville Feynman. Both of his parents originated from Russia and Poland, as both were Ashkenazi Jews.
Narrative Essay Once upon a time there was a young man by the name of Scott Mescudi. Scott wasn’t just an average boy, even at a young age he seemed to be different. He had special powers, powers that he tried to tell all his friends about but they never believed him. His powers were that he could fly, and the creativity of his mind was at a level that has never been seen by anyone. As he started to grow up people started to hate him more and more, Scott was never sure of why.
However, there is one rule that Washington writes that is important and that many people today have lost knowledge in which is that “every action done in company, ought to be with some sign of respect, to those that are present”. and that is his first and most valuable rule. Treating others with respect is something that has been lost in many people today. First, people do not know how to respect others, especially due to the technology that many have access to. The younger generation of many teens and children have lack
2. My mantra is ‘Try everything I can and try it again.’ “Genius is one percent of inspiration, and 99 percent of perspiration.” This is Thomas Edison the inventor’s quote. He failed so many times when he was inventing a light bulb. Now, it is a common sense that electricity can be used to make a light bulb, but when Edison was alive, everyone laughed at what he was doing. He failed millions of times but he tried everything to make the
Atomic Bomb The atomic bombs of the 1940s were some of the most cutting edge technology for the time period. The creation and eventual use of such a weapon is widely disputed as morally wrong. In the history of warfare, only two nuclear weapons have ever been detonated offensively. It was during the Second World War that the United States became a world power, thanks in a large part to its monopoly on atomic weapons. The atomic bomb is a weapon with great explosive power that results form the sudden release of energy upon the splitting, or fission of the nuclei (World War 2 Database).
Looking at state of the world may scientists believe that due to our current CO2 emissions: the world the world will eventually end. We will eventually be the end of our own planet. The media has been largely responsible for the publishing of this theory and those surrounding it, and of course not all of these publications are true or even based on real scientific evidence. Forever in the need of someone to blame; the so called “grown ups” of our society have decided that despite their advanced time on this earth. Though older citizens often argue that it is the young to blame for the state of our planet it is clear to me that it is those who were on the planet years before myself and peers are to blame!
Sometimes, failure can lead up to your success. For example, Thomas Edison’s invention, the light bulb, took him a thousand tries before he developed a good prototype. A reporter asked “How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?” Edison said “The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps”. Unlike Thomas, most people don’t even acknowledge the prospect of failure. In fact, so many people are focused on not failing, that they don’t really aim for success.
