The internet today can even allow you to be in a virtual world and in that world you can be anywhere at any given place and time.
LinkedIn can help individuals stay connected to the professional community and learn more about organizations that interest them. It is a site that is used by individuals, groups, and organizations all over the world. Linkedin was established in 2003 and continues to grow and assist organizations in reaching new horizons through professional social networking. LinkedIn operates the world’s largest professional network on the Internet with more than 175 million members in over 200 countries and territories ("LinkedIn", 2012). Servicing so many professionals from so many parts of the world, LinkedIn has to be available in various languages to suite everyone's needs.
Social networking comes in many forms. It comes in the form of facebook, twitter, and even professional forums such as Linkedin. In such a fast-paced world, I find social networking to be an invaluable way of sharing ideas and interests that allow me to remain engaged. Although some may debate that social networking takes away from face to face and/or quality interactions, I have found it to be an invaluable tool in building community and networks. In fact, I believe it has given us a more effective way of communicating and engaging with one another especially in our fast-paced society.
LinkedIn may help them meet new professionals form different fields who can assist them in solving some problems. This is most commonly done by posting questions of any kind and the people involved in those fields respond to them at no cost. One can also view previously answered questions (Reinhild 16). This would be cheaper than contacting a specialist for some advice. Social networks help in improving communication between employees, suppliers, and customers.
It will also let us track what social platforms are being used the most, therefore enabling us to tailor our deals to our consumers. Recommendation: Have a dedicated employee (or employees) monitor Twitter and Facebook feed. They should be able to quickly respond to concerns our consumers have, as well as be personable and friendly. We would like the social media employees to be an extension of the brand, building trust with our consumer. Recommendation: Tailor a Pinterest Board to draw consumers in and extend our market.
